Blue light Since I've put our Wii on-line, the Blue light glows on and off (Where the disk is inserted) & when the game is turned on that light turns off. The main power button still glows proper green and yellowish when on and off. Has anyone come across this problem ?
ALSO if that doesn't work try "syncing" your remotes (even though it has nothing to do with your problem..) Then hit reset once again!ALSO if that doesn't work try "syncing" your remotes (even though it has nothing to do with your problem..) Then hit reset once again!

One has nothing to do with the other. It's a coincidence.
The blue light means that there is an update available from Nintendo to be installed. It could also mean that you received a message or news from Nintendo. If you don't like the blue light, you can change it in the wiiconnect24 settings.
If your Wii isn't reading games, the first thing to do is to check the disc. If it is not scratched or no discs at all are working, your drive needs to be replaced. You can find a new Wii DVD drive replacement at the following page:
my friend,Christina, had the same problem, but didn't handle it right. SHE threw it on the ground. Don't do that. Just take it into GameStop. Then you can either get it fixed, or you can trade it in for a new Wii.
The Wii can stay connected to the internet to keep itself and apps, such as the weather and news, current. If you have the yellow light and the glowing blue disc slot, this feature is on.
You can go to the Wii's settings to turn the feature off.
IT TOOK 1.5 HOURS TO SYNC UP AND CALIBRATE A NEW TONY HAWK RIDE SKATE BOARD WITH A Wii. THE ON-LINE DIRECTIONS AND TROUBLESHOOTING = SUX!. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS IF YOUR HAVING THE SAME ISSUE: 1) Remove skateboard battery's for 1 minute 2) Reinstall 4 new/fully charged AA Battery's in the Tony Hawk RIDE Skateboard. 3) Plug the Tony Hawk Wireless USB Dongle into the "upper" WII USB Port, Turn on the WII, Insert the Tony Hawk Ride game disk Keep pressing A on the WII Controller till you get to the Error Screen saying: *Unable to SYNC up the skateboard with the WII* 4) Make sure the WII and the plugged in wireless USB Dongle are laying on the floor in front of the wireless skateboard "sideways" with the wireless dongle towards the right side of the WII. 5) The directions state to 1st press the wireless USB dongle reset/Sync button, then the so called Start button on the board, which did not work 100 different times. 6) Instead (on the side of the board) all 4 of the blue LED lights were on. The Blue LED lights should now all be off! 7) Now press the WII Wireless USB Dongle reset/Sync button. 8) After the Dongle sync
Sounds like the DVD drive inside of your Wii may have failed.
This drive should fix any reading issues you are having with your games, or issues inserting your games or ejecting them (or lack thereof). This is the entire DVD drive assembly mechanism replacement for your Wii including a new laser. If your discs are not ejecting, or you cannot insert a disc -- or you can insert a disc but it will not load, this is what you need to get your Wii going again!
When you connect to the internet wirelessly and Wii Connect24 your Wii will stay connected and recieve messages, updates, etc. That is why the disk area stays blue and the amber light stays on. Sometimes this will create a power failure. Just unplug your Wii from the wall and let it rest for a few minutes and plug it back in. The problem should be solved.
Yellow just means that it's on standby. If there's a new message or there's an update, your Wii will start blinking blue.
If you want to turn it completely off, just go to the Wii menu, Click
the Wii icon (Options), then click Wii settings, click the right arrow
to get to Wii System Settings 2, then click on Wii Connect 24, then
click on Standby Connection, then click off.
Don't worry about the heat. It's normal when you have it on standby.
Could mean an error with the disk drive. I once had this issue with mine, I replaced the drive and then it was fine again.
no guarantee this is the problem your having, but the signs sound the same.
i know what is wrong if u unplug the gray plug exactly in line with the eject button on the back of the wii, and plug it back in to the wii after then it should work after doing so.
