Everything is functioning properly except my messages screen. I cannot view the inbox or outbox, I cannot send a new message. When I select one of the options on that screen, it locks down and I cannot get out of that menu unless I press the end key. I can listen to voicemail, but there is no way to veiw or create any new text messages. I received a new text message and selected the read button and it froze...pressed the exit key and nothin....

login and select 'Send New Text Message' link from the Inbox, Outbox, or Pending views.
Type in your text message and save for sending.
Run the Motorola TEXT application on your phone, and your text message will be sent. Your message record will be moved out of the Pending folder into your Outbox online.
sir your phone memory is full.empty your inbox and outbox and format your handset by using the following code *#7370#
it will require your phone lock code which is 12345 in default.
good luck
Two possible problems here, the new messages could be server messages, your inbox is completely full and there (unfortunately) really is no choice to but to delete either a large number of the messages in your inbox or delete all. If that doesn't work it needs to be taken into a retailer to be either repaired or trashed. Had a similar problem with the same phone and i had to delete all my inbox messages and it still showed that i had messages and they were server messages.
scroll as in what. when you go to your inbox they have a down aarow to view your text and you can scroll down on that. and you shouldnt have to open your outbox.
Hi,
first press menu, select messages, then press menu button again, scroll down to cleanup messages, select, then scroll down to which box you want to delete and select. done!
I had this same problem and called Motorola for support. The solution is to clear text/mms message inbox and outbox. The default setting on my phone was to never clear the inbox but I changed that to remove messages when they are 10 days old, I have not experienced the problem since.
try turning your phone on and off again, hopefully, it might work! it could also be that you have unsent messages in your outbox. goodluck
if not, you should probably taked it back.
