Push the menu and device buttons on the front of the set both in together and hold for 6 seconds and see what two digit error codes blinks. It will most likely blink a 3 pause then 4 and then repeat the sequence indicating a 34 error for lamp abnormality which is almost always caused by faile capacitors on the Power pwb.

I have a Mitsubishi digital WD-52525, and the "lamp" indicator is illuminated in red. Can I buy a new lamp and replace it myself?

If you have a red led solid. check the fans and make sure they work. Sceond push both input and menu and see what the blink code is?

My Mitsu 52525 lamp indicator went solid red. I

sounds like the caps on the power board have failed. You can get the V26 DM/Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains the instructions.

Thats usually caused by failed capacitors on the power board. The V26 power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com should repair that issue. The kit comes with the instructions on Cd.

Replaced bulb in Mitsubishi WD-52525 and it still does not work

Press the input/device button and the menu button at the same time. Green LED will blink a two digit code blink 1st digit short pause blink 2nd digit longer pause and repeat. Any number of problems can cause this same symptom.

If the red LED your refering to is the Status LED and not the Lamp LED then you have big problems. A red Status LED indicates no communication from the Format board to the DMD board (light engine). 1/2 the time caps on the format board itself the other 1/2 must send entire electronics package to Mitsubishi.

Had blue screen, now no picture and red light

Press the menu and the device/input buttond on the det both in together and hold in for 5 seconds to see if the led will blink a two digit code such as 3 blinks slight pause then 4 blinks. I would almost bet that you have a 34 code come up. But respond to this same post and let me know which two digit blink code came up, and I will assist you with whats wrong with your DLP.
