My Panasonic Microwave Dimension 4 Convection is showing FFFF in the time display when I try to use it. What does this mean?

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/652153/Panasonic-Dimension4-Nn-C988w.html

FFFF is not mentioned in the user manual, but there may be some helpful information or contact information in it.

PANASONIC Dimension4 NN C988W Operating Manual And Cook Book

This is not certain, but it may be a part that is expensive to replace according to this other web site for a similar model Panasonic oven. That person said their microwave was still working.

FFFF means that your display control board has an internal short. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the display control board which is no longer available. If you really wanted to fix the microwave you'd need to remove the display board and mail it to a place like Appliancetimers.com to have the part refurbished. The cost to have the part repaired is usually about $200-250 or so.

My Panasonic microwave, Dimension4, The Genius, will not keep running after start button is pushed. It runs for only two or three seconds.

There is a thermal fuse that monitors heat from the magnetron, sometimes becomes defective, the magnetron "heats food" filiment will open on occassion, if the exhaust fan is not running microwave will shutdown.

Panasonic Dimension 4 microwave switches off

Try resetting it--aka, unplug for about an hour, then plug back in and try again. If that doesn't work, make sure you try a different outlet, and if all else fails, contact Panasonic. They should be able to help you out with a repair/replacement (and if you're still under warranty, usually it'll be free!).

Their phone number (acccording to their website, www.panasonic.com ) is 1-800-211-PANA (7262)

Good luck! :)

Faulty Panasonic inverter dimension 4 combination microwave

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

Panasonic Dimension 4 microwave model NN-C703BBPQ not working. Display is not illuminated as if fuse has blown. Have changed fuse in plug, but still no visible sign of life. Anything obvious that might...

A microwave can be dead for many reasons.

It may be the fuse, which is usually located on the floor of the oven behind the control panel or between the door switches.

If the fuse is good, it may be an open thermostat or thermal cutout (TCO) / thermal fuse on or near the magnetron or on top of the cavity / body of the oven.

If it goes dead for a while during or after cooking then comes back on, the magnetron is probably overheating and causing the magnetron thermostat to open.

Then when it cools, it closes the circuit and allows power through again.

When checking thermostats, if it has a hood fan thermostat, that should read open, as opposed to the others, which should read closed.

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

If it goes dead or blows the breaker (or GFI) when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount.

If it's intermittent or random, it may be a bad connection, usually on the control board or a loose fuse holder, or even an intermittent fuse.

You should do a continuity test on the fuse while it's in the holder (with the microwave unplugged, of course) then turn the fuse by hand or take it out and put it back in, then test it again.

If you remove the fuse, then press the meter leads against the ends, it can allow internal contact to be made and make a bad fuse appear to be good.
