Texting i am trying to recieve text messages but every time some1 sends me a text message it never gets to me?

Text message receipt chronically sporadic, sometimes I get them, sometimes not until later in day and then a barragwe of them, sometimes two to three days later, what gives??? I love this phone but want it fixed so the messages get received!
