Can't get ringtones for Samsung u340
i got the same phone and i usually have to record the song from off the radio youtube or where ever i hear it by using the voice memo and then send it in a pic message wit no pic jus the sound to my phone and then save the sound and set it as a ringtone

Just wanted to post and say THANK YOU GRIMLAC. That worked perfectly. I already had the driver and bitpim installed but assumed that it wouldn't work because all the options were greyed out and I couldn't get it to see the u340 as another specific model (rather than "Other"). Accessing the filesystem however, allowed me to get 29 pictures off of my phone that I've never seen outside the 2" screen. Thank you so much!

i have the same phone. got the data cable for $2 at amazon. The free USB driver can be found here:

make sure you install this driver and reboot BEFORE you connect the phone to your computer
Next download BitPim at www.bitpim.org. it should find your phone right away.select view filesystem from the view menu. You will then select the directory mm then open pg then default album will have the photos. right click on the .jpg file you want to save to your hard disk or if you right click on the directory (default album) you can select backup which will create a zip file of all the pictures and copy it to your computer. This soulution works on windows XP. Hope this helps

from your device, try to dial YOUR OWN phone number. EX if your phone number was 123-456-7890, you would dial that number and hit the green send button to initiate call. this should take you directly into your voicemail as long as you are using the phone that your account is connected to. I hope i was able to assist you today.

Make sure that in the set-up, you do not have the feature turned on that makes a beep for each minute in use. This is a common cause.

Phone won't turn on
When you power up first let it going into off chargeing mode, then hold the power button to turn it on, continue to hold it through this whole process, then after the sitck together box has been completed (which may take a few attempets) rapidly push the right soft key until your phone jump in and out of the t-zones area which should be your default right soft key buttong then you should be able to use your phobe normally, note that it did take me a good half an hour of doing this to make my phone through the whole process. :)
