Why can't I recieve text messages from other cell phones?

My samsung a127 I can't recieve text messages from other cell phones. I have texting but I don't recieve anything. For example my friend has an verizon lg and i can't recieve text messages from her. What is the problem with my phone?

I had this problem once with another cell and I found out that some of the text messages from other phones, like the LG and PDA phones send with kilobytes that are needed to be "downloaded" through a multi-media package or internet access. If you are able to send texts and they receive them, check with your carrier.
Also, try shutting the phone off and restarting.

They Don't recieve my texts anymore.

Hi there, you have to go onto text messages, go to settings, go to text message settings and change the send options and then click "save". Hope this helps, kind regards, help6. :)

I have problems recieving texts on my samsung u900 mobile. The texts i send are sometimes not recieved either. I sometimes recieve texts through however with extremely long delays i am on network '3'

-check message settings>message center number correct it then message validity period set to maximum time,
-call settings>caller I.D. settings set to network default.
-if still not working, reset all settings.

call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options

Maybe you never activated the phone to receive txt messages. Call up sprint and activate incoming txt.
