Toshiba Satellite M45-S165 laptop not turning on at all.

Plugged it in without battery and nothing lights up.  Used another Toshiba adapter with light on it and instead of staying on and green, it repeatedly blinked.  Was given to me and guy told me that it was fine, then one day just wouldn't power up.  Am I looking at inverter problem or something larger?

Tried that already. Thinking it might be the power board. Or at least hoping that it might be the problem.

Two ram memory (SO-DIMM) can be used. There are two ram memory slots.

1GB however, IS the largest amount for EACH slot.

I want to connect my Cassatt Tape Recorder to Toshiba Satellite M45-S165 Laptop and record data by using Audacity Software. Recommend the connection cable

I have never used that programme but expect it uses the sound card as an interface. If it does, the manual will tell you, you will need a Phono lead with 3.5mm jack plug on one end.
Hope that helps.

TOSHIBA SATELLITE M45-S165 won't charge Battery. The power connector on the back of this laptop is losse but still powers the Laptop. I bought a new battery and the Battery light does light up on the front...

it could be possible that changing the dc jack at the back may fix the problem however it could be a faulty new battery as ive had a few copies (not original) which would work for a week or so then die or others which wouldnt work at all, i finaly splashed out on a new original battery and it hasnt let me down and i bought it over a year ago.

Hope this helps

Toshiba laptop power cable won't charge battery

I had the same problem with my HP laptop some years ago. you have a broken cable/cord and it is the part that is permanently attached with your power pack. If you look at the cord that plugs into your laptop, you can be able to see the faulty part of it. it is usually very flexible or swollen. You can either take it to an electrical technician to change that part of the cord. Your power pack is still ok, but have the technician to check it out first before you change the cord. Else, you may have to get another power pack. below is the full specification of the power pack that is recommended for your laptop.

Locating the cmos battery in a toshiba satellite m45-s165

Hi,
If you have disassembled your toshiba unit, and you are somewhat new in electronics, you cannot see the battery similar to other PC, bcoz its battery is somewhat soldered, and the only things you migt notice is its two colored wire (black and red) attached to a round, flat, insulated (wrapped with insulation) battery.

Doesn't turn on at all!

Need some additional information first: -Which, if any LEDs are lighting up when you try to start. -You said you purchased another A/C adaptor, was there a reason you tried that first? -Have you been having any problems with the battery before this happened? -Have you tried removing the battery and tried starting with just the A/C adaptor plugged in? If yes was there any change?
