Readout all of a sudden says E6 and F2 where we usually see the clock/timer/etc. What the heck is going on and how do I clear this so we can see the time display again?

Yup Yup, been there. We had to replace the control board on ours. We are lucky enough to have a repair service tech in town that came by and diagnosed this (cheaply since he didn't really do anything), gave us the part number and where locally to order the new control board. Easiest way is to contact the manufacturer to order a new one. If its the exact same problem, the oven wont hold temperature, will start to heat up then gives the code. The board is very easy to replace, takes less than 30 minutes.

Replace motherboard for gsh25vgrbcc

Your refrigerator uses the common GE WR55X10942 control board. On most models you can just swap out the control boards. Some models require a few additional steps, you will have to check your serial number to see if that applies to your model (see instruction sheet included with the control board).

First unplug the refrigerator.

On the back of the refrigerator, there is a panel. Remove the screws and the panel cover.

Unplug wires from the old control board (note where the wires go), and plug them into the new control board.

Plug refrigerator back in and test out.

I have a Ge refrigerator (model # PDS22MIsacc) it seems to be running alright, but the temperature control panel will not light. we are unable to change tempertures.

you will need to replace the main control board located on the rear panel behind an access panel, this board controls all temps and digital readouts, when the readout goes dark this board is the culprit

I have a PSS26GRSS Side by Side refrigerater the ice and water panel stopped working, and it appears the temperature readouts are not on interior light is on

Through experience I have found that this is generally not the small board in the dispenser area, but a problem with the motherboard (behind the refrigerator). Replace the motherboard.

No water or ice, no readout on control panel

You have a bad main control board . This board , is located behind the refrig , behind an 8 " X 10 " small panel . It is easily replaceable . If you had given the model number , I could have given you the part number , so be sure to take the model number with you , or call GE , as it could possibly be replaced under warrenty .

GE PSC23MGNA refrigerator. No display light for

Sounds like you have a bad main control board . The original pt # is WR55X10552 . The replacement board is WR55X10656 . Your original board , is on a recall list , and GE should come out and replace under an extended warranty .

Whirlpool microwave/oven combo- model #RM288PXS

That would be a problem with your control board. It probably needs a few capacitors and a relay replaced and minor circuit board repair.

We regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week with a one-year guarantee.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your model number) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
