My remote start does not work anymore on my 2006 G6. I replaced the battery in the key fob but it still doesn't work. I just had to replace my battery in my car last night and thought that it might work now and it still doesn't. The unlock function works on the fob but not the remote start or locking buttons. Any ideas? Thanks!

The key fob will need to be reprogrammed to the vehicle since when the battery was replaced in the key fob, the key was reset. This is why nothing is working with the key fob. After replacing the battery in the key fob remote, you will need to reprogram the remote to the vehicle

With proof of ownership your local dealer should be able to cut you a new key off of the VIN number.

Have you replaced the battery in the fob? After replacing the battery in the fob, the car owner's manual will tell you how to re-program the fob to the car.

The fob would need to be reset to the car computer - check your owners manual. On some models you press both keys at the same time.

hey guys. I own a 2013 lancer ES. My remote key fob stopped working because the battery ran out. I replaced the battery and it doesn`t lock and unlock the doors anymore. The fob because its lights come on and a locksmith checked that and it`s definitely working. I checked the WEB and youtube for reprogramming but all the tutorials were for 05-12 models. I also did the manual instructions but nothing happened. The dealership told me they charge me 220 dollars for that. I only have one fob, it is the only i got from the previous owner. Would you plz help me? thanks

First thing, does the red light on the remote light up when you push any of the button
if no, then replace battery inside remote
if yes, then try repograming the remote to the car again.
-Have both remote ready. fob#1 and fob#2 (doesn't matter which one is #1 or #2)
-each step has to be done within 5 sec or it will not work, but don't do it super fast.
1.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
2.turn key off
3.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
4.turn key off
5.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
6turn key off
7.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 twice (if you only have one fob, then stop here and go to step 7)and push the "lock button" on fob#2 twice.
8.turn key off and remove key from ignition.
if you did it right, remotes should work again.

Your keyless entry remote on your keychain needs a new battery..

change the battery in the remote.the nearer the car you have to get the lower the battery power.

If you can't live without the key fob and use the old fashion key, I am sorry to say it is time to go visit Mr. Goodwill. Bring lots of money and your first born child for collateral.
