I had the same problem with Goldstar DH404EY5.

The micro-switch under the power on/off button went bad.
I could not find a new switch , just drilled a hole in the cabinet
and mounted external sw .
Other micro-sw for setting humidity level also failed.

1) check power outlet

2) remover cabinet and check glass fuse on power supply board that power cord attaches to.

"bucket full" indicator on - running a hose

Since you have had 2 seemingly unrelated symptoms it is almost sure you have had a power board failure. If you post back with the complete model number we will try to check everything and see what we can come up with.

Pops electric panal breaker

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

A dehumidifier is similar to having another refrigerator plugged in. It is recommended that it be plugged into a circuit of its own. If you are talking about the house fuse or circuit breaker it could be the circuit has to many products plug into the that house circuit. I would suggest moving it to another area of the house to see if it also blows that fuse. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

My dehumidifier has no power. It wont light up, it is plugged in. The bucket is correctly put back in. Is there a fuse? A restart button? No lights, no power

First, Trista, have you checked the outlet it's plugged into. to make sure the outlet still has power to it?
As there is no reset button on that model. The outlet it's plugged into may be damaged internally or their may be a loose connection in the wiring. Try using another outlet, that's on a different circuit in your home. Once you do, be sure that you turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON, before trying to set the humidity extraction level. Once you do, set the level at 32% (that's the arrow down button).

I know you said ,"the bucket is inn correctly", but just to humor me, remove the bucket and reinsert it into it's holder, making ssure that the bucket fits "squarely" into the holder from top to bottom. The bottom of the bucket should not tilt downward, once it is installed.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a HD456E/HD656E dehumidifier that has failed. It is plugged in; however, when the master on/off switch is depressed either the unit will not power on or if it does power on (with compresser...

It could be what you say or it could be that the humidification extraction level is set too High. Try lowering the extraction percentage to 32 - 35%.

If that doesn't help and you'd like to order replacement control board/panel. Call Haier Parts and Technical Support 877-337-3639. But, you may find it cheaper to replace the unit, then repair it.

Dehumidifier has stopped working...it appears to be electrical..no switches are working and no lights are on.

Check the outlet that the unit is plugged into, to be sure that it's still has power. If it doesn't, a circuit breaker for that outlet may have tripped. Or the outlet receptacle may have a loose wire. Try plugging the unit into another outlet that is not on the same circuit, as the one it's currently plugged into.

Demudifier worked great, all a sudden it just stopped. No power. Now it won't start up. What should I try?

First, check the outlet that it's plugged into, to make sure that there's still power to the outlet. If there isn't, then the circuit breaker for that outlet has been tripped, in your home's circuit breaker panel. Leave the dehumidifier unplugged and reset the circuit breaker. If it trips again, without the dehumidifier unplugged, then the outlet is at fault. Perhaps there's a loose wire connection or the interior of the outlet is cracked.

If it didn't trip without the dehumidifier plugged in, plug the unit it in,. But, before you do, make sure the dehumidifier's Master ON/OFF Switch is OFF. Once it's plugged in, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set your controls. If it runs now, GREAT! If it trips the circuit breaker again, there's either a short in the power cord or an internal electrical short. Which will require extensive troubleshooting to find.

Hope this helps you solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
