My Sony DSC H2 camera is going through batteries very fast. What can I do? Thanks Don

What kind of batteries are you using? If you are using alkalines, yes you will only get about 50 or so shots out of a set. You need to use NiMH (nickel metal hydride) rechargeables. You can get a set with charger for about $25-30 from Best Buy. You will get several hundred shots per charge with them.

The button you press while taking the picture came off.

The Sony DSC-H2 and DSC-H5 have a terrible shutter button design and Sony will not admit that it's a design problem. The post for the shutter button is so thin that it snaps in half very easily!!

If you do a Google search for "Sony shutter button repair" you will see the #1, 2 and 3 links are all for www darntoothysam com. We have done hundreds of this repair over the years!

The repair service is just $70 total for the part, installation and return shipping of the camera. Please visit our site, we would be happy to service your camera.

Hope this helps!

Date stamp on sony DSC H3 camera - How

This Camera doesn't have the feature to superimpose the date on the pictures. By using the supplied Picture Motion Browser Software, you can print or save the pictures with date.

Refer the following link.

Lost the Original Software Installation Disc? Use the Picture Motion Browser Software Download.

My sony cybershot 12x camera is acting as if the batteries are bad and I have tried several new batteries so that's not the problem. It makes the sound as if it's turning on but won't come on or if it does...

After reading everything, I'd say it is an internal error. Unfortunately digital cameras are so expensive to fix, you might as well just buy another camera.

Call Sony and ask them what they think, chances are they've seen this problem at least once before and would be a way bigger help than me. The repair might be cheaper than buying a new camera. The H2 is pretty decent.

Pre-shooting with sony dsc H2

There's a chance that the settings might have been changed.....Just try after resetting the camera to default factory settings.
