Exactly.
You can only check the connectors between main electronics and user interface. Sometimes due to vibration the connectors lose a good connection, otherwise main board(PCB) or user interface (PCB) is faulty. It is difficult to find out which of them is incorrect.
Only authorized service providers have a interface for connecting to the electronics of the washing machine.

5. Activate the Console and Indicators Diagnostic Test mode to verify repair.
6. If indicators still do not light, the machine/ motor control has failed: Unplug washer or disconnect power. Replace the machine/motor control assembly.

No beep sound is heard:

4. If replacing the user interface assembly failed: Unplug washer or disconnect power. Replace the machine/motor control assembly. Plug in washer or reconnect power. Activate the Console and Indicators Diagnostic Test mode to verify repair.


Some buttons do not light indicators:
1. Perform steps in Accessing & Removing the Electronic Assemblies, and visually check that the console electronics and housing assembly is properly inserted
into the front console. If visual check passes, replace the user interface assembly.
2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
3. Activate the Console and Indicators Diagnostic Test mode to verify repair.

F47 Interface between electronics faulty. check connections to electronic boards

F28 is a serial bus error from the CCU (Central Control Unit) to the MCU (Motor Control Unit).

All you need is some Electronics contact cleaner spray and a 1/4 inch socket to remove the top of the machine and the back of the machine.
The CCU is the computer looking box at the top front right hand corner.
Find connector M13, (has red marking on it and only 3 wires) disconnect it by pushing the retainer tab back and pulling gently on the connector.
Spray the contacts of the connector and computer with connector cleaner.
Then re-assemble connector.
The MCU is in the back lower left corner.
Find the connector with 3 wires and red mark, and remove this connector in the same way you did the other, spray it and re-install.
Put the back and top back on.

The F70 and F71 error codes on this model of washer indicates a communication problem between the user interface control board and the central control unit (main control board). These error codes can sometimes be caused by a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines. Try unplugging the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. Wait 1 minute and then plug the washer back in to the see if the fault code clears. If it does, then the washer may work normally.

If the code reappears, then you could have a wire harness connection problem, a failed user interface control board or a failed central control unit. I recommend calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair this type of problem so that the correct component can be replaced.


Be sure your unit is plugged into a 3 prong grounded outlet as well.


F71 is a "heatbeat failure" which means that your front interface control board is shorted and will need to be replaced. it's actually fairly easy to replace and can definitely be done by yourself. To access the part, just pull the unit forward and remove the 3 screws coming in from the back of the top panel. Remove the top panel by pulling it back, up, and off. Then remove all the screws going into the top of the control panel. Remove the dispenser drawer and remove the screws coming in through the dispenser. Remove the screws coming from the inside of the dryer going forward into the control panel, then remove the control panel (it's just clipped in on the bottom. After that you can disconnect the wire harnesses to the front interface control board and replace that part.

Good day sir. Hi, the port that receives the keyboard is the PS2 slot, if this slot gets damage, you have no choice but to replace that slot, and electronics inside, which mean replacement of the board, You still has an option to use the USB port, you can get a Keyboard with USB interface.

Here is a list of possible causes. NONE OF THE LEDS LIGHT... Check to make sure that ribbon connectors P3 and P4 are inserted all the way into the machine control electronics board. (To access the machine control, pull the dryer away from the wall and remove the three screws from the top panel on the back. Slide the top panel rearward about 1/2" and lift. The machine control is on the left hand side. P3 and P4 are the "ribbon" connectors going into the board.) A PARTICULAR GROUP OF LEDS DOES NOT LIGHT... A group or combination of LEDs share a common electronic connection. If this connection is open, all of the LEDs in the group will be disabled. If this occurs, replace the entire console electronics and housing. ONE LED DOES NOT LIGHT... Press the button associated with the LED several times. If the LED does not light, the LED has failed. Replace the entire console electronics and housing. NO BEEP SOUNDS... If the associated LEDs do light up, the beeper circuit may have failed on the machine control electronics board. NO DRYER FUNCTION IS ACTIVATED WHEN A PARTICULAR PUSHBUTTON IS PRESSED... If the associated LEDs do light up, the machine control electronics board may have failed. AN E3 ERROR CODE IS DISPLAYED...
