This error code is an indication of a b+ error voltage ... specifically a voltage of 6 volts known as dd voltage when the voltage is low pin 129 of micro
I am experiencing exactly the same problem. TV turns on but within 60 seconds the screen goes black and the red standby light blinks six times. Were you able to resolve this problem on your TV?
Standby light flashing indicates that a problem is occurring. The exact count of the flashes between pauses will tell a service shop what is happening. This could be the lamp shutting down due to overheating. Dust buildup inside the lamp-based projection TVs is an issue. Overheating will destroy your $250+ lamp. I suggest you call an authorized service center and tell them the count of the standby light flashes (usually between 1 and 9 flashes)
The self-diagnostic function of the projection TV will cause the
STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue.
Follow the steps below to perform a power reset:
Turn off the television.
Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If
the TV is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from
the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall
outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip
or surge protector and not the TV.
Turn on the television. NOTE: If
the TV does not turn on immediately, the fan may need to finish its
cycle. This is part of the cooling process for some projection TVs and
is normal operation. After the fan turns off, attempt to turn the TV on
again.
If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required . Please note the number of times the STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center.
no the 6 blinks indicates a missing voltage. If your talking about a sony lcd KD or KE model you probably have a bad thermal fuse. You must also clean or change the Lamp fan so it won't blow again.
Audio Protect (7 Flash): When DC voltage is detected at the speaker or
woofer outputs, IC3604/pin128 (TV-micro) goes low and IC3604 turns off
the main power (AC relay turns OFF).
Troubleshooting Tips:
1) Main cause of defective will be located on the KD-board
2) Confi rm KD-board is securely seated on the G2-board
3) Replace KD-board
