My Acer Aspire 1 gets stuck when the Windows XP logo apears and just keeps booting, what can I do?

Stops? Powers off? Can you explain what happens in detail? Unplug, remove battery, plug in, boot, what happens, Windows Logo appears, then what?

try booting in safe mode by tapping f8 during boot

oh a fun one. Reset your bios to defaults. if that doesn't work then try a windows disk boot up. if that doesn't work you're screwed.

if you want any of your files from the computer first pull out the hdd buy a cord and transfer them to another computer.

That is booting directly into XP. The Windows XP logo that you stare at for a few minutes is actually hiding a whole lot of back end system checks. Without the logo you would be looking at a blank screen. There is a difference in load time, but it's about 2 seconds.

While the system is booting --before the xp logo shows, hold down the F8 key. This will bring up a menu. Choose "start windows in safe mode with networking".
The os will start in safe mode. run a virus scan, defrag and scandisk, then restart the system. If is still wont boot normally, do the same thing then run a registry fixing program such as uniblue registrybooster, then reboot. If it still won't boot you may have to reinstall the OS. good luck.

unfortunatley you are stuck in a windows loop and will need to reformat your PC

Please do the following to reformat

1) Put your recovery disc into your PC and allow the PC to restart
2) The laptop should pick the disc up and boot from it
3) Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the rest of the install

It happen when some operating files needed during Startup got corrupt.If you have ealier created system restore point, Then you can restore your system to that point even if the system is not able to boot by itself.

Download "Hiren's Boot CD"

Burn the ISO image in a CD and boot your system using that cd from CD Rom.
It has many tools to repair system,driver backup,data recovery tools.

If nothing works,back up your important files and go for a New Install.

Well, Firstly this might be a extreme case but is to reformat your hard drive removing any manufactures partition, and reinstalling the Operating System, but what i would do first is the go to start---run---(type this command and hit enter)"msconfig" the system configuration window should pop up. Go to the boot tab and place check mark in the box which says "No GUI boot" you mat also change the timeout seconds there too. hit apply then OK and reboot your system.
