0 means the region is perfect you can play all dvd regions.

This is what you would want if you're going to watch NTSC, PAL, etc. movies.

It just wont let me watch the movie on my ps3 it says the " region code is not correct " how do i change the region code

One way is to go into Settings - Security Settings - BD/DVD Parental Control Region Code and set the code (US=region 1) As far as blue ray, you may have to "jailbreak" the PS3.

I bought 3 disney movies from the us can'play them on my dvd need a code area australian

Of course I cannot condone any solution contrary to any Australian, US, or international law.

Most DVD players offer the option to change the region code...
Please be aware that due to DVD piracy problems, every DVD player manufactured, regardless of who makes it or where it is made, allows a maximum (if at all) of THREE region code changes.
In your circumstance, this would mean that you can change your DVD player region code to region 1 (US), watch your videos, and then change it back to the AU region code...You would then be allowed one more change. If you attempt to change the region code after that, your DVD player would lock out and be turned into a paperweight.

As a "Yank" who has been to Australia (Perth NSW- twice!) I sympathize with your problem- wanting to have these videos forever and not being able to watch them at all....

The only "safe" option that I can offer is to surf the web for a program called DVD-Shrink, or something similar that will allow you to remove the region code from your DVD's, and set it to "region zero"...which will play the DVD anyplace, anytime. DVD-Shrink works as a copy program from a PC DVDR drive and can remove most region codes from a DVD depending on the disc- most is explained in the FAQ.

Please do not allow yourself to be duped into trying an "all regions" download for your DVD PLAYER. Every single one that I have received a reply about, after warning off the "customer" has resulted in a "my player does not work anymore" response!

Laptop dvd drive region locked in R1, need to be mostly R2

keep in mind you can only change the region 5 times and cannot change it anymore after that (regarless to windows reinstallation , its a hardware thing) you might wanna consider purchasing "dvd region free" or use a 3rd party region free firmware to bypass that

Blueray

You can always invest in the program called AnyDVD. It can be found at
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvdhd.html

This should solve your region issues with the BlueRay disks. Run this program, then insert your movie into the dvd player, and watch the movie play. Take care and enjoy!

Change permanent region set up for my winDVD for toshiba

Control Panel/System/Device Manager

Click on DVD and right click on the DVD player, choose Properties. On the DVD region tab, you can select your new region.

Notice that you only get 5 changes over the lifetime of the device. No one seems to know why that was done, but there you have it...

Bant change settings on dvd drive

Usually once you play three DVDs that aren't from your native region on a DVD drive the drive gets permanently changed to that region. Using software like AnyDVD will enable you to fool the drive into thinking all your DVDs are region 0. Otherwise you would need to get a hold of the drive manufactueres debuging software or maybe a hacked firmware for the drive to be able to get it back to the proper region.
