Is there any way to speed up Windows Vista. Its standart Vista Home Premium, Mcafee antivirus was on it. Is there a program witch can speed up my laptop with windows vista. help please. its too slow :)

You will most likely get a warning from your antivirus because of the keyfinder, as long as the message says its warning you of a keyfinder then you can ignore it.

mostly antivirus slows the pc, u have to clean up ur system, clean registry keys, to speed up ur pc download registry cleaner reg in out , it will speed ur pc

Please be more specific when you say I cannot download Antivirus. Microsoft has a somewhat new security program that works well with Vista. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ to download. It has worked well form me and is not a resource hog.

Have you tried doing an online virus scan from Mcafee, Nod32, and other anitvirus companies? There are freescan out there. You can also try downloading Malwarebytes pretty reliable software.

restart the install by right clicking on the setup.exe and click run as administrator.
If that fails go to http://service.mcafee.com/MVT.aspx?MVT=1&&lc=1033&sg=TS&pt=1 and have Mcafee troubleshoot.

Antivirus programs are useless these day's they can only protect you from viruses allready know not new ones created and released.Your best bet is to check out a program called deep freeze, a virus comes in new or not and you simply turn off and on your computer and your right back to your original state. you can even delete important registry information and simply turn off and on your computer and all is replaced. save your money antivirus programs simply add more complication's to your life than you need. have a great day.

The slowness of Vista depends on the components that you have for the computer. Did you buy your computer with Win Vista installed? If you upgraded your computer from XP to Vista, you have to make sure that it is covered by the system requirements of Vista.

If you have a brand new computer with Vista installed in it, then there could be a little glitch on the program. I've used different kinds of Vista (Home Premium, Vista Business and Vista Ultimate) but none of them worked slow. If that's a brand new computer, I would suggest to contact the manufacturer or the reseller.

REmove Mcafee off of the computer and install AVG or Avast both are FREE downloads and FREE antivirus programs. Wont slow the computer down or lock it up
