SONYSP Wife's crockpot lid handle broke...it's the white oval one...model number is 38601. There was no "W" after the model number but assume it is supposed to be there since -W seems to accompany the picture of the one she has. I'd like to suprise her by fixing the darn thing...handle has been broken for two months - or more.

    Black & stainless steel look Crock pot 38601 6 QT with black handle & glass lid (4 hr. 6 hr, 8 hr. & warm setting). Within 6 mo of purchase, the black plastic handle came off from screw so you cannot screw on---faulty manufacture problem!!! NO, I have not found a way to replace so after searching for my paperwork???? (somewhere in move) I checked my Rival recipe book and found www.crockpot.com. Suggestions to glue/get lid handled back together????

    We have the same problem. Black handle oval lid. The only place I have found sells only the lids. Waiting for a reply to see if they are the right ones. Will let you know. Lid is 14.99

My Smart Pot model SCC658 handle broke off the lid. Where can I get a replacement?
Call Jarden, who owns crock pot. i called on my smart pot handle and they are sending me out a new lid - free. www.crockpot.com someone posted the phone number on another question reponse on the same topic. have your model number whne you call. that was all they asked for.

Need plastic handle on Rival Crockpot lid.
For what it's worth, when the handle on my mother-in-law's crockpot broke, I went to Home Depot and bought a cheap wooden drawer knob (about $1 as I recall). I put a plastic washer between the knob and the glass and another under the screw head from the bottom (to prevent cracking the lid), tightened the screw and good as new.

Need plastic handle on Rival Crockpot lid.
I am Jo Anne Gomez who posted original problem and thought the problem was resolved with husband putting on a knob he found at the hardware store. Just wanted to let you all know that the handle we thought would solve the problem DID NOT....after he replaced the knob and we did another roast in it the lid totally shattered after we'd cooked another roast (luckily the glass did not get into the food), however, this is just a BAD PROBLEM and these lids should ALL be recalled. I have seen, just recently, the exact same crock pot and lid being sold for much less. I think that these crock pots should not even be sold but taken off the market to prevent lawsuits or horrible problems. Just wanted to let you know our solution did not work and Rival was not helpful at all.
