Rival needs to do something about this problem. It happens way too much. Why isn't Rival more customer friendly? It is a huge company, yet you can't find their website. I still haven't found it. I broke the lid on my Rival 38601 Crock Pot and cannot seem to find a replacement cover. I searched on www.crockpot.com but they don't have a lid for that model. Any suggustions? Crockpot lid broke after 5 uses. Super glue is not good enough. Rest of appliance is fine. Where do I get a new lid. This is dangerous as the handle is falling apart. Model SCV 401. I too need a new liner for model #38601 because the one I currently have has a crack in it. I went to crockpot.com and the product I need is "out of stock". But even if they did have it, they only carry white. Any help will be appreciated!

I am also in need of a replacement lid for 6 qt model 38601 Rival Smart Pot. However, I received mine as a gift from a friend in Canada, and when I opened it the entire lid was shattered. I washed the receipt up in my pants pocket and now I have a brand new, never used crock pot with no lid and can find no replacement? Any suggestions? All suggestions greatly appreciated!! The knob just broken off my Rival 38601 and I called Rival for a replacement lid and they don't have any and don't know when they will get them in. Their solution, check back every couple of weeks to see if they get stock. Or better yet, buy a new slow cooker and they will give me a big 20% discount... I also have a Model 38601 and use it all the time. The other day I picked the lid up and the handle just broke right off and the lid hit my tile floor and shattered everywhere. Thank God I had just put my toddler son in the pack n play. I have searched everywhere for another to no avail. I also have a Model 38601 and use it all the time. Same problem! Broken lid for 38601, rival says "not in stock" I just called again and said "Is it a safe assumption that you NEVER have it in stock?" He said probably, but at least this guy took my info down to put a request in. Says he'll call back within 2 weeks to let me know. Doubt it will happend but we'll see? I told him I'd suggest the company address this problem as the internet is swamped with complaints on this issue. Maybe everyone should call again and insist they enter requests. I called after I posted here and spoke to someone in their customer service and was also told it is out of stock and they took my name and number and said they'd call me when there is one in stock. I tried to order a replacement lid for my Crock Pot 38601 and was told in March 2008 it was out of stock. It is Oct 2008 now and Rival says this unit was discontinued so I believe everyone is going to have to buy a new crock pot if they want a lid. the lid broke back in Feb of 2008 and we called to order a new top.

They told us, not in stock and they would call us when in.

It is now November and no call, so we called them and still out of stock.

What a scam. It appears to be a product defect if so many people are having cracked lid issues.

My porcelain insert cracked after just having used it a few times. Now my question is the same as yours. How much is a replacment insert or is it just cheaper to buy a new one. I have to believe these insert get cracked all the time, and that a 2-quart (or whatever size) insert has very few, if more than one, standard shapes that would be easy to manufacture and make available at no more than the cost of an entire unit low-end unit. Hello. I am very galled at the difficulty of finding a purchasing source on the Internet for such a produce.
