GE model # gsl25jfpcbs , has water dispenser in door, makes a click sound when actiated but no water comes out,, Icemaker works fine, water gets to it to make ice,, cant seem to figure it out, please help

It actually wored, had to wait the full 24 hours, now a few days later I guess it froze up again,, any ideas on how to keep it unfrozen?

I have the same fridge and the water line freezes up in the door on a regular basis. I have to use a hair dryer and slowly wait for it to melt. It takes about 30 minutes and then works fine for awhile. It has become quite a habit that I'm not thrilled about. Don't waste your money replacing the board or anything else. GE was no help and I'm now shopping for a new fridge bc of this issue. Needless to say that it won't be a GE! Hope this helps.
It is possible the water line inside the freezer door froze . Remove the bottom kick plate and follow the white tubing about 6" to a coupling . Push in on the white ring and at the same time , pullout on the tubing . Push the water dispensor , and if water comes out of the hose going under the fridge , this means the line is frozen in the door . If no water comes out , it means the water tank at the bottom of the fridge section (behind crispers ) is probably frozen . A hair dryer should work on the tank , but , a different procedure will be needed to thaw the door . Come back if door is frozen for the procedure .
Sounds like a frozen line ... press on the inside door lisen to see if there is ice inside defrost the freezer check if water will flow ... if stainless steel door there is a heater kit you can put in... if plastic you will have to replace the door.
turn the freezer side to zero fridge side will zero also . click for water it should work . just worked for me no water for 1month replaced the filter and everything.
INSIDE THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY IS A SEPARATE ELECTRONIC BOARD THAT CONTROLS THE DISPENSER.
OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR SOLENOID OR THE CUBE ICE SOLENOID WILL SHORT OUT CAUSING A BURNOUT OF THE DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. CHECK FOR A BURNT SMELL COMING FROM THE DISPENSER HOUSING. IF YOU SMELL IT, THE BOARD AND/OR SOLENOID NEED TO BE REPLACED.
