Pop spilled into car's dvd player about 1.5 months ago which I didn't realize. Now the DVD player won't ''****'' in the DVD. Thoughts? Help? If I can't fix it, who do I contact to fix it? I would think the dealership would be very pricey. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I imagine the liquid made the leads to some electronic components rusty and deteriorated., since it took that long to stop working. Electronic components have value, and replacing them requires exact same value. I imagine it has what you call surface mount technology in which the components are so small, that it is very difficult to replace. Sadly there is no easy fix when dealing with electronic circuits. Me trying to show you how to fix it would be futile, since electronic circuits and theories take a long time to learn, and almost like a college course.

A dVD disc got stuck inside of the dvd player and now it won't work rightly then.

Well it might just be a little glitch with the dvd player to causse this problem so unplud the DVD
player from the wall outlit and let it stay unplugged for about 30 minutes to see if it fixed the problem and there is a small button on the rear of the dvd player that allows the disc's to pop out but you need a small flat head screwdriver to do that. Lastly if zero luck it will need to be repaired then. DOn't take it apart it could make thuings worse.

Polarioid dVD ''bad disc''

Did you clean the lense with the alcohol? You might try again, also wipe away the residue.

If no dice, you might try to contact Polaroid to see if you can get it replaced/exchanged under warranty.

Trouble Loading & Not Registering To TV

I can't say 100% but it sounds similar to the problem I had with the same model . The sleep mode in the on/off switch had gone bad and a new switch fixed the problem. It was about $42 to rtepair at my local electronics repair shop. Hope this helps.

Flaming DVD Player...

Loud pop and smoke is what happens when capacitor blow off. These things happen. It doesn't mean product is dangerously defective. Faulty capacitor, or circuit board, or a power surge can cause this. If it's two months old, it's probably under manufacturer warranty, and you'd be able to get it fixed without any extra cost. Good luck.
