In Need of DVD code for Sony DVP-SR200P

Unfortunately the only region code your Sony will play is the one that is printed on the bottom of the unit.

My sony dvp-sr200p, disc tray

Try the mechanical release;

Look for a very tiny hole in front of the drive; use a paper clip poke through that hole, apply a little pressure and push. The tray should pop open.

there might be a panel that covers the tray, and you won't see the tiny hole. If that's the case, just use your fingernail to pry open the panel, which most likely will pull out (not off), and you'll then see the hole. Once you push the straightened out paper clip into the hole, the tray should come out enough for you to pull it out the rest of the way.

Sometimes the CD drive doesn't open because the case is misaligned. Try pressing on the center portion of the drive when it is attempting to open!

Getting a C 13 70 disc is dirty message only for

Hello, welcome to Fixya!Was this player playing previously? And how long have you been using this player? I suspect the lens of the player. Once the lens of the player becomes weak, it won't play discs any longer.The first thing my mind goes to, is the lens. The lens id responsible for reading/loading data on discs. So if the lens is unable to read the disc, there is no way the player is going to play the disc.To confirm if actually its a laser problem, insert an Audio CD into the player and see if will play. If it plays, then obviously, your laser (lens) is weak. But if it doesn't play Audio CD, then it might still be the laser (lens) or probably, a mechanism problem.Get a lens cleaner, use it to clean the lens. If that doesn't solve the problem, get a screw driver, open the player's cover so that you can gain access to the lens, use a cotton board to clean the surface of the lens. This should clean dust or dirt that might be on the lens.If non of the above solves the problem, then know that you need to replace the laser to a brand new one.To replace the lens, remove the bad laser, use it as a sample to get exactly the same type and do the replacement. Note that replacing a laser (lens) needs a professional touch, so if you cannot replace the laser, get it to a repairman to fix it for you.Once this us done, your player will play all DVD discs again.Good luck.

Need to no how to make my Sony DVD player remote work the volume and power on my Philips TV

Does the remote have a TV setting? In other words, is there a setting on the remote where you can go back and forth between TV, DVD, Cable, etc? If not, you cannot use it for that purpose. If it does, try setting up your remote with one of the following codes. 11454, 11054, 10690.

My dvd player says playback prohibited by area

Sounds like it's the wrong region disc. Try a disc that worked before and if it does than there is nothing wrong with your dvd player it is the disc you are trying to play that has the issue.

I would like to know where the tiny hole in the front of the tray is?

I can't help with a picture of the same unit as you have, perhaps you can post a picture of yours with DVD face removed (there isn't such a hole on the intact unit). so that I can inspect it. Your DVD player may not have such a hole. If you consult your user manual I think it tells to you to take the unit to a Sony service centre, but you could the support section of their website. Meantime I attach a picture of computer DVD player, with the hole inside a white ellipse that I have marked in between the LG logo and the button. It's not very visible, being less than 1 mm in diameter (just wider than a paperclip) 6.May.2014 524afd0e-cd1d-47f4-97f7-25c5fe31de77.jpg
