I lost me instructions manual/recipe book and need to cook a 5 lb prime rib roast for Thanksgiving.
Can I get a replacement and instructions please?
Thanks, Sam
That is the URL for the manual. I find their recommended temperatures tend to run about 25 degrees hot; be sure you check the internal temp with a quick read thermometer starting 15-20 minutes before it "should" be done.

This is my favorite:
FLASH METHOD
Standing rib prime roast beef
Olive Oil
Coarse Salt
Coarse Pepper
Garlic (chopped/juice or powder), if desired
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Have roast beef at room temperature (important).
2. Rub thin coat of olive oil and rub in seasonings
3. Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
4. Cook 5 minutes per pound. (50 minutes)
5. Turn off oven and leave roast in oven for 2 hours.
6. DO NOT open oven at any time until the 2 hours (plus the 5 minutes per pound) are up. VERY IMPORTANT!
(In your case DO NOT ADD roast weight to 12 instead assume that both roasts equal 6 lbs.)
Yields a perfect medium rare (pink center not red)
If you want a rare result then cut time to 4 minutes per pound
If you do not care for the recipe I found for you, you can find one you do like by using your favorite search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc.) and the following search phrase, using quotation marks, as shown:
"spoon roast" recipe
Cooking times are dependent on much more than weight. The shape of the roast, the thickness, the uniformity, the outside temperature, the quirks of your grill or oven... the only way to cook a roast properly is with a probe-type thermometer. You decide what temperature you want the center of your roast and cook it until it reaches that temperature. The lower the cooking temperature, the more evenly the roast will cook. You can Google roasting temps to give you a general idea, but if you use a recipe time, you will overcook or undercook your roast, probably, 60% of the time. Probe thermometers are cheap and reliable.
Cook the roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees F. Continue to cook the roast until your meat thermometer reads 110 degrees F. Estimate about 15 minutes of cooking time per pound of prime rib.22 Dec 2014
Hi Sharon! If you want the seasonings to get all thru the meat, I would cut it into about 6 pieces. Add your seasonings and cook it for 20 - 25 minutes. I have been cooking for 50 years and bought one of the electric digital pressure cookers. Liked it so much I bought another one. I made a pork roast about 2 weeks ago and I cooked mine for 25 minutes, It was so tender I could pull it apart with dinner forks. The seasonings I used were fresh diced onions ( 1 med) 2 cloves fresh garlic diced, salt and pepper to taste. Hope this helps.
All Farberware Rotisserie Manuals are available for download at http://openhearth.info. The manual that has the prime rib recipe is http://openhearth.info/450.htm . However, I have tried this recipe, and if cooked according to those instructions, the prime rib will be overdone. I take mine off at a much lower temperature to allow for carry-over cooking. These rotisseries make the BEST prime rib!
There is no definite time.It is extremely important that the internal temperature of the turkey reach at least 165 degrees in order to kill harmful bacteria that may exist. Thi includes the stuffing. This if difficult to do without drying out the whole bird. Without Stuffing in the bird it is easier. Cook the turkey until the breast meat (thickest part, not near bone or ribs) reaches 161 degrees. or between thigh/leg reaches 180 degrees.
