i guess there is some problem with line selection, please try to get the correct line input on tv, also dvd must provide correct line output signal, press input button on remote few times for example, please refer to user manual for detailed information.
Ground the wire that is suppose to connect to the handbrake. This enable you to watch DVD anytime. Don't watch while driving though. Driving requires full attention.
After variety of different tests and findings I have resolved this issue. It appears that the DVD burner was not in good working order and the DVD player was not at fault. Thanks you to all who answered and responded to my problem. Many thanks.
