PROTRON 26" LCD TV

How are you hooking it up to your TV, through the AV color cords or HDMI, or HD AV cords?

If you provide me with the make and model of the remote, I would be more than happy to get you the codes, thanks

AV1 or AV2

Temporarily hook the Playstation up to another television and change the resolution in the display settings to 1080i and try again. If that does not work, try lowering the resolution again to 720p. If this set has component video input (Red, Green, Blue video cables) try that as well if possible. In fact, this may be the only way to hook this up and have it work in high definition because this set may not be HDCP compliant. You will have to check the owner's manual for its specifications. If all else fails you will have to use the composite (yellow) video cable to hook it up. It won't look pretty, but it should work. Good luck.

i have a protron lcd menu light keeps flashing but tv wont come on any help would be appreciated.

Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.

THE BEST INPUT ON YOUR SET IS THE HDMI INPUT.2ND THE COMPOSITE INPUT. 3RD THE COMPONENT INPUT. AND 4TH THE ANTENNA INPUT. MOST DISH BOXES HAVE AT LEAST THE COMPONENT OUTPUT. YELLOW IS THE VIDEO AND RED AND WHITE FOR AUDIO. USE RCA CABLES TO GO FROM BOX TO LCD SET. ON THE DISH BOX YOU CAN GO FROM ANTENNA OUT TO THE CABLE OR ANTENNA IN ON THE LCD. SWITCH TV TO CHANNEL 3. AND TURN YOUR DISH BOX ON.

Standard RCA cables are fine to connect both units. If home theater and tv has Component Video (Green-Red-Blue) connections, you can get better video result.

This is an lcd tv. It does not use a lamp. dlp tvs use lamps. You have fallen into the trap many others have. I am a servicer and I have found there are absolutely no parts, no service manuals, nothing at all available to repair any Protron set. You save some when you buy, but when they break, throw it out.
