Occasionally I receive a message when I am trying to download or install a programme etc. The message tells me to insert the Windows XP Home Edition disc? The problem is that my PC was purchased (from PC World) with the Windows XP Home Edition already installed.

I think you have these options:-
1. Explain your problem to PC World and see if they can help.
2. Borrow a Windows XP Home Edition disc from a friend.
3. Download a Windows XP Home Edition disc from the internet. I don't know how legal this is, but as you have already got the legal copy installed and are only using the disc to install other programs you might be OK.

Silverlight/generic

Make sure that any programs that typically use Silverlight (i.e. Zune, etc.) are closed during the installation or check to make sure that your computer is updated and running the latest version of Windows XP. If neither of those suggestions work, try a restart.
