I had this problem, and I fixed it by flipping the battery around. It looks like it's supposed to go one way, but it's supposed to be the other.

Possible Solution for this problem. The battery might not be making contact with the terminals in the camera case. Open the battery door of the camera. There is a small spring "tab" on the other side of the battery door. Bend this "UP" a little, close the door and try it again. You may have to bend it up some more if it didn't work. By bending this tab up, you are forcing the battery UP to make better contact with the terminals.

How do i charge my vivitar camara

You can charge the battery for the ViviCam 8025 in two ways.

Connect the camera to a powered USB port. The red LED will be on while charging, and go off when it's charged.

Take the battery out of the camera, put it into the supplied charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

I have a vivitar 8025 viviCam touch screen for some reason since the first use I havent been abled to charge my camara since and have no way of getting a replacement walmart will not help me is there some...

You can try charging your camera in two different ways -
1) Remove the Lithium Ion Battery. Note - This might result in the loss of sample pictures. Now, place the battery back inside and close the Battery door. Connect the camera to your computer and see if MSDC appears on the screen.
2) Try connecting the Charger end to your camera and connect the other end to the Electric Outlet.
Note- The Red LED should be light on charging. It will turn off when the charge is complete.

If these do not work, you can try calling Vivitar. Since the Camera is brand new, I am sure they can help you with a replacement. Call them at this Toll Free Number - (877) 397-8200

I have A vivicam 8025 I plugged into my pc A red light came on the camera is it now charging? it will not turn on while plugged in. If it is charging how long till its done charging?

Yes, the red light indicates that the battery is charging. The light will go out when the battery is fully charged. The time depends on how drained the battery was before charging, and also on the current coming from the computer.

My camera won't turn on. I charge it and the red charging light comes on. I have returned the camera for the same problem 3 times. bought it from WalMart. I was on my vacation the 1st time it happened, and...

Are you sure the battery was inserted properly? Try putting it in the way that looks backwards... the battery seriously looks like it's supposed to go in the wrong way. If you're looking inside and using the spring for a reference, DON'T. The spring is only there to push the battery out, not to attach to it.
