Usually when you see this come up on the black screen, it means that the hard drive is no longer being read by the computer. Either the hard drive has failed, or there is a bios setting in the interface that is not allowing the computer to talk to the drive. Check the bios settings first as far as devices the computer recognizes. If the hard drive does not show up in the BIOS, then either the interface has been disabled or the drive is dead. To enter the bios, hit F2 while the Toshiba splash screen is shown.
