Just got a D-Link DXT-710 Wireless G ADSL2+ Starter kit. I have followed instructions on disk but it keeps telling me the Ethernet cables is not connected, but as far as I'm aware it is as there is only one place on my PC that it will connect to.

Trying to connect Playstation 3.

Please help!

I don't know how to hook up the dlink to the computer. Does it plug into the modem or directly into the computer?? I on my own...my son hooked it up before so I'm not sure how to do it. Can anyone guide...

There's a cable that comes from the modem that plugs into the WAN port on the dlink router. Then you connect one of the other ports(1,2,3, or 4) into the network card on your computer. The connection and network cable look like a phone cord/connection just bigger.

Origiannly had my son's PS# hooked up to our HD TV

You must reset your PS3 in order to accept the new TV configuration.

  • If the video output settings on the PLAYSTATION®3 do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system.
  • Then, with only the PLAYSTATION®3 and the TV connected, touch the system's power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.

Hooking up playstation 3 to tv

you need a ps3 scart lead. i think the one of the ps2 is the same but check. it should just hook up like a ps2. if you are having any problems with the picture hold down the power button when you start up the ps3 for 10 seconds this runs the optimal screen settings for the cable you are using. but if it is the first time you are using the ps3 it will auto start in set up mode. hope this helps
