if u get electronics wet like phones and ipods take it completely apart. Blow in it why u r running to get the blowdryer,blow-dry it till u don't c any more water then blow dry it some more. Then put it in a bag of rice.leave it there for a day or 2. make sure u get the speakers and microphones especially.
1st - how long ago did it get wet? 2nd - have you stored it in a bag of uncooked rice for at least 24 hours? (You can wrap it in a tissue to keep dust out of the dock)
If you haven't done the second above - regardless of how long ago it got wet - you should try this BEFORE trying anything else using electric current!! You may do more damage if there's water inside the case.
If the wetting occurred recently, the iPod will need to be dried out. One simple solution is to leave it in a bag of rice over night. The rice with absorb the moisture and your iPod should be fine to use. This is not a 100% foolproof method, however, and if it doesn't work your iPod may be irreperably damaged. If it is still under warranty, contact Apple for a replacement. If not, you may have to buy a new one.
Try putting the Ipod in a ziploc bag with some uncooked rice. The rice will absorb any moisture still trapped inside. Leave it for a few days and it might work again. It depends on how long it stayed wet. It worked with my son's Ipod after he jumped into a swimming pool with the Ipod in his pocket. Good Luck
first off DON'T try and turn it on get a bowl of dry rice and bury the ipod in it and let it sit for a few days check it every day and if the rice is wet this is good its absorbing the water and change the rice out, with any luck this will dry it out completely DON'T try and turn it on until your 100% sure its completely dry hope and pray that this works if it doesn't then sorry
There is a website that shows you how to dismantle the ipod classic oso you can take off the back plate so you can let it sit and dry. Also brush off any residue from the water. If all of that fails you can send it to an independent ipod classic repair company.
Ipon the ipods case up. then Put the ipod in a zip lock bag full of
uncooked raw white rice. seal the bag and leave it in there for 2 days.
rice absorbs water. it should dry it up.
dont try to plug the ipod in or it will fry the circuit and you will destroy it.
If you need to know how to open an ipod case go to my website.

Hi what seemed to happen here is your HDD drive got wet and crashed. Yes take it back. Next time this happens the second it gets wet put it in a bowl of white rice. The rice absorbs the liquid and all better. But this time you can't do it. But yes take it back.
