From the manual page 24: 'Door' is flashing in the display window...
?Shut the door firmly, until it clicks.
The symbol should now go out.
I suspect the door sensor has failed. It thinks you haven't closed the door, so it refuses to do anything at all. It's called a Door Interlock, it has a switch or sensor built into it.
First try unplugging the washer for 60 seconds and plugging back in to try to reset the controller. (Dry hands only!)
If the door interlock is a simple switch, you should be able to check it with an ohmmeter. I would check it first before buying a new one.
The part number is HPTC00085194 or C00085194, here are a couple places you can buy one. You can also find them on ebay.
It could be a broken drum restraint spring, or a worn or broken. or loose shock absorber.
To check the springs, remove the top cover, and you will see the springs.
Another possibility is the concrete weight could be broken or loose.
You need to remove the lower rear panel of washer to check the shockers and concrete weight.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.
The code means a water inlet problem.
Check the inlet hose/s for restriction or low pressure..
Check the filter in the end of the inlet valve as well.
There has also been cases of the water freezing in the pipes.
Hope this helps.
Error F01 is indicating that the motor triac has short circuited, this is part of the electronic speed control for the motor.
Hotpoint's advice is to call an engineer, and I would concur with this, it is not really a DIY repair, unless you have a good knowledge of electronics.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
This is more a workaround than a solution. When you choose the washing programme (say "D") and push the on/off button, two lights will flash, the "door locked" and the "drying" one. Now turn the "drying programme" button until the "drying" light stops flashing (in my case, this is true when I set the drying programme to 40°C). Then start the washing mashine.
Seems like the function of the drying programme button has shifted against the settings written on the button...don't ask me why! Of course, no guarantee but works for me. Please let me know if it does for you.
Hi,I have a 2nd hand Hotpoint Ultima digital washing machine & cant seem to use it as when i turn it on on display screen the childlock icon flashes & beeps, even when door is open/closed,when i select a programme the icon still flashes & beeps therefore i cannot use machine.hope you can help me with my question Thanks.GILLI37
Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.
F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.
F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.
