When dvd is inserted the player starts clicking & it doesn't want to eject the disc.

Not that I'am aware of, on the front of the DVD tray there is a small hole. Get a small pin insert in the hole until you hear a click, the tray should pop open for you to retrieve the disc.

You should try unplugging the DVD player from its power source then plugging it back in. Now try to open it and if that doesn't work than you'll probraly have to take it apart to get the disk out but sometimes the DVD players can get worn out or if you have a cheaper DVD player it might just be freezing up on you. I have had these problems before. I just took the DVD player apart to get my disk and then trashed it.

insert a disc cleaner before you try another DVD it might be dirty.

there are switches needs to be in contact when the loading tray is closed and open. it is placed under the tray mechanism. investigate ribbon cuts and bends. replace it

look for a small hole in the front draw of the DVD, insert a straightened paper clip or similar stiff wire into the hole, push in until you feel/hear a click, keep pushing until it pops open...

Try using a DVD scanner eye cleaner. It is aDVD with a brush grafted to it. I suspect the scanner eye is dirty so it cannot read the boot starp properly and so ejects
