My Screen Said "Are You Sure" and "Please Wait" and now, instead of "AV", i have "AV1" and "AV2" and my tv wont show picture from the dvd player OR vcr
I was pushing buttons on my remote control and suddenly I see a list on the screen (I dont remember what it was on it). I pushed the "menu" button to get out of it, but the screen said "are you sure?" .i pressed "menu" again and the screen said "please wait". I turned the tv off to get out of it. when i turned it back on, all of my cable was gone and I went to "menu" to put the cable back on. (It was set to "air"). I had to re-memorize my channels and reset my clock. After doing this, there was a tiny line of snow on the top of my screen. Its unnoticable. I thought I fixed my tv, but when I went to play a DVD, I pushed "tv/av" on the remote, but on the screen, (it usually just says "av" in the corner), this time, it said "av1" and if you press "tv/av" again, it says "av2". On either "av1" or "av2", there is no picture from the dvd. Its just a blue screen. The dvd player shows that it works; but theres no picture on the screen. It cant be a problem with the DVD player because it was working fine before I pushed those buttons and had to restore my tv. Also, if you hook the VCR to the tv, you also get the same result as the DVD player. Please tell me what I did and how to fix it.
The menu does not have that option, the manual is very short and general (nothing on my problem)and I called the company. The woman did not know what she was saying. We talked for an hour. Whenever I had a question, she would put me on hold for ten to fifteen minutes to find an answer. Finally, she came to the conclusion that "there is definitely something wrong with your tv" and that I should send it back for the small price of $50.00, (not including shipping and handling.) Apparently, they've never had problems with that model. Thank you for your help, regardless. The menu does not have that option, the manual is very short and general (nothing on my problem)and I called the company. You will need to go back into the menu and see what ia available in the video input mode. You may have switched the type of input you can use such as default or componts ect. If you have an isntruction manual, look in there or call the manufacturer, should also be in the instruction or user manual. Good Luck

Try a different channel on your TV Some times it may be AV1 or AV2 on the TV that you have to connect to. The DVD should also show a "start up" screen on the TV to show you that it has connected properly.
Hi, You are trying to work out how to watch a DVD movie on your TV The DVD should be connected to your TV with Audio Video cables. And it will most likely be connected to AV1 on your TV The easiest way to find out would be to
Put a DVD in the Player and press play
Now the TV is probably in channel mode, so find the button on the TV remote that says TV/AV
now press this button TV/AV and it will scroll from TV channel to AV1, AV2 etc until you see the DVD picture.
I hope this helps you. If so please leave a vote or comment.
connect audio output (RCA Jack white n red color) from the video, to the audio input of your TV. Make sure you use same AV channel for the video and audio. i.e AV1 or AV2 or AV3
Av out from sat to AV1 on TV. AV2 from tv to av in on dvd/vcr . ( if you can pick what av2 on the tv sends out set to send av1 out to record) OR AVout from sat. to AV1 on TV, AVvideo on sat to vcr/dvd. The sat. system will act as a "play through" device so you can play vcr/dvd without changing the AV on the TV. If you connect another lead in either option you may get a feedback loop causing audio "squeak" and video problems. Post back to let me know if this helps.
I have a LG tv set. When i press the tv/av button on the remote my tv shows av1, av2 earlier but now it is showing only av. So i am unable to watch my dvd player. Need help.
You have to make sure that the RCA cables are properly connected to the TV. Check the TV/Mode if it's set to AV1 (Audio/Video1) or AV2. You may check the TV remote to set it to AV1 or AV2.
From the DVD, the cable should be connected to OUT. And on the TV...video and audio should be connected to IN.
hey 1st of all you gotta make sure that your son made tha right connections with the av cable (this is the cable with three different coloured pins) from your DVD to your tv. if this doesnt solve your problem then make sure you are using the correct av channel on your tv set that will allow you 2 play your DVD player because sometimes you cant play your DVD on thhe same av cannel you watch normal tv
make sure that av 1 out on the dvd go into av1 in on the screen and av2out goes to av2in onto the screen.make sure the cable is not loose.press av on the tv remote till you find it. same with the vcr remote
I am having the same issue with mine. I even set everythign back to factory defaults and it still wil not work. Isn't there any tech support palced to find help? See post by Scriptster. Thanks
