Turns ON than right back OFF!

The tv cycles and turns on but within 5 sec. it turns right back off into standby mode with the lamp indicator flashing red.
I bought an LG 52SX4D 52 in. I bought it as a floor model at Good Guys when it was closing so I lucked out of a warranty. It's been 3 years and the lamp just went out. I received the new lamp a couple of weeks ago, installed it, worked fine till the next morning when it started acting up. The tv would not turn on 50% of the time which would lead to the lamp indicator flashing red. I had the ballast replaced about a month ago before the lamp went out so I am unsure of what the problem is since the bulb and ballast are pretty much new. Also when the new lamp came in the cords seemed to be switched, flipped in a sense compared to the old lamp, but I was told that it would be fine as long as the lamp is the correct model. So the tv turns on, which makes me believe that the lamp and ballast are fine.
Any solutions or comments will be appreciated.

Sony LCD turns off 34 flash turn on 30sec repeats ...

The self-diagnostic function of the projection television will cause the STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue. The number of times the STANDBY light flashes corresponds to a specific issue, some of which you may be able to resolve without the need for service.
  • If the STANDBY light flashes three times in sequence, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to resolve this issue.
  • If the STANDBY light flashes four times in sequence, the television may be overheating. To resolve this issue, ensure that the back of the television is well ventilated.
NOTE: If the television will not turn on immediately after being turned off, wait for the fan to finish its cycle, then attempt to turn it on again. This is part of the cooling process of some projection televisions and is normal operation.
If the flash sequence is not listed above, or the light continues to flash after troubleshooting the indicated issue, follow the steps below to perform a power reset on the television:

  1. Turn off the television. IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
  2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
  5. Turn on the television.

If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required. Please note the number of times the STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center.

Just replaced the lamp and the tv still will not power on. The green standby light just blinks and double clicks. No red light

HI:
Make sure you replace the lamp door or the unit will not power on. Also make sure the lamp is seated properly, Most people when they replace the lamp they try to turn on the television with out replacing the cover and think there is a problem with the set, there is a safety switch on the lamp cover door that need to be closed in order for the unit to operate.

Also you can check the self diagnostic mode, to see if any faults exsists.
With power off, using the original remote press the display key followed by the number 5 key, followed by the volume down key then hit power. You have to do all four keys within 5 secs for the diagnostic screen to come up. If all goes well check the number recorded on the right, should indicated lamp cover has been removed and if you had a bad lamp it is will record the a number of times the unit tried to light the lamp but failed. To exit press the 8 key then enter to reset them numbers to zero and do process over again and try to turn on tv normally, if it shuts down then go back to diagnostics screen and see what the tv recorder as error.

Panasonic projection TV does not turn on.

Power LED flashes orange 1 x 5 secs. = 1 of 3 fans stopped. TEMP LED flashes 1 x 5 secs, = Temperature error. Lamp LED flashes 1 x 5 secs. = lamp ballast error. (check lamp 1st.)
Hope this helps.

Samsung HLP4674W - changed bulb - still no picture - lights flash

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

Here's an excerpt from the Sony Manual online. And the link - http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/webtree.pl?template=EN&mdl=KDF55XS955&content_id=68&category_id=11&problem_id=52

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes three times
If your power/standby indicator is flashing in a pattern of three flashes, this may indicates that the lamp cover is not attached securely. Follow the directions in the Operating Manual under changing your lamp that related to closing and securing the Lamp Cover. Ensure that the Lamp Cover Door is securely fastened by tightening each screw.

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes continously
If your power/standby indicator is flashing continuously, and the lamp cover has been secured, your TV may be in need of service.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up green (not flashing)
A sustained green light indicates your TV is on.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up red (not flashing)
A sustained red light from your power/standby indicator simply indicates that your TV is in standby mode. This shows you that your TV is ready to be turned on with the remote.

Is it the power light and not the lamp light? If the lamp light is flashing then replace the lamp.

Lamp indicator flashes red 3 times every 5 secs.

Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.
