I formatted my laptop wit Windows vista, It doesnt

You can download the LAN and device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEBsupport/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windowsdrivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download thedrivers: -

If your vista is active it will not let you format the drive to install windows XP you have to shut down the computer , put the XP CD in the cd drive and start FROM THE CD, at this point you will follow the Xp installation Instruction and come to a page where you will have the possibility to format the partition where vista is installed,
Note, you should look for ALL rhe XP driver of you computer model BEFORE you do this sometimes a computer sold wit Windows Vista do not have any XP driver for all the peripheral installed in that computer

I would suggest you reinstall using Windows XP because based on your pc specs, your computer will run faster on XP. You may also try Windows 7 because it doesn't require you to install specific drivers. It comes automatically installed when you install the OS.

id reinstall vista ! if you want to do this you need to get in to the bios which u press F2 i believe when the comp first starts up when your in the bios scroll along to boot menu u shud see a boot list with your hard drive at the top ,you need to change your dvd drive to the top so itll boot from dvd , restart your computer with a windows vista disc in the dvd drive and i think it shud give you an option to fix your system if doesnt work then definitly do a clean install of vista using your product code . hope this works

Choose custom install and view the optional updates, here you will find the hardware drivers for the devices windows found on your system, check all that apply and install them.

your CDROM/DVDROM is not attach with your system please remove it first then inserted again.vista windows search the device and install automatically.

if window vista does not found this device then replace the DVD ROM
your lens has been damaged or expire

welcome to fixya,what u can try is that installe dth utility for the wireless card and turn on the wireless zero configuration from the windows and then try and connect with the windows and also with the utility,or what u can also try is that go to the router page and then configure the wireless lan,as alike 802.11 b/g channel and then try and connect if it still doesnt connect then resintall the operating system and then try and connect it should work.....good luck......pls rate this solution for me pls.....

While operating in the windows mode, insert your mac os leopard disc and it should auto launch the program that will allow you to install all needed drivers and settings.
The mac os disc will completely set up your computer in window... but let it run fully.. don't interrupt it.. this should set up for your wifi screen res etc...
If you need help with printer drivers... download a copy of Bonjour from apple...it's free and it will find your printers and set it up for you!
Way to go Mac... way to make windows work!
