I got the Stellar Phoenix and used it with my JVC... The program found the file names and the files (MOB) look to be the right size the only problem is when i play the file it plays something that has been recorded at a later date... and there will be other deleted files that play the same file or other files than the one its supposed to .. any advice?

The deleted files are not completely destroyed after the deletion. They are still there on the camcorder and become invisible.
So, you are supposed to use a camcorder data recovery freeware to retrieve these deleted files back for free from this camcorder:

How to recover deleted videos from JVC Everio:
First, take the storage media out of your JVC Everio camcorder and connect JVC Everio camcorder hard disk drive or memory card (via the card reader) to the computer. When connected, they will appear as a removable disk on "Computer".
Second: Download a Photo Recovery software such as Jihosoft Photo Recovery to perform a scan on your jvc everio storage media.
You can also specify the file formats you wish to scan in the "Filter Options" window.
When the scan is over, check the files you wish to recover and hit right-bottom "Recover" button.
