Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close ,,this message comes up when i try and log in to facebook and some other sites please help me with this thanks hannah

You can reset the IE to defaults:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click Reset.
  5. Restart IE settings

It is a known issue with the Internet explorer for which there is no guaranteed fix. Still you can try by removing IE7 from Add/Remove and switch back to IE 6.
Alternately you can Switch to Mozilla firefox by downloading the latest version from www.mozilla.com

Actually, I solved the problem, jeevan is right, delete all cokies and download hijackthis by trnedmicro.

No it won't, because this is an automated process.

You need to re-install Internet explorer. Try and get another version on disk or an alternative browser such as firefox.

Just tested it and logged in, everything seems to be good. Try clearing out your temporary files and history on your computer. Assuming you are using Internet Explorer to surf the web, follow the directions below:

1. Goto "Tools"
2. Goto "Internet Options"
3. Under "Browsing History" , select "Delete"
4. In the next box select "Delete All"
5. Close Internet Explorer and try to log into Facebook again.

Use alternative browsers like Internet Explorer, Mozilla firefox or Google chrome. Your internet bandwith also needs to be good as well as your modem. Ensure you have not forgotten your login username and passwords too.

Constantly encountering an error and needs to close

I think, its some Add-on which is creating this problem in IE.

Please check the Add-ons in the Tools "Manage Add-Ons" Menu and try Enable / Disable for the Add-on which you think is not required for your IE.

Some files are corrupted. Go to the microsoft website and download Internet Explorer. If you want you can upgrade to IE8 now that it is out.

Error Message when I click on everything in facebook.

Hi,
  1. If you have internet explorer 6, download and internet internet explorer 7.
  2. Click on internet options and click on delete cookies,files,add-ons etc..
  3. Click on advanced tab then click on reset and close internet explorer, then open and try.
  4. If you have Internet explorer 7, follow step 2 and 3.
  5. If still doesnt, try installing Google chrome browser.

Internet explorer

when it displays a message that "ie has encountered a problem and needs to close", click on link in that message which says click here to get more information and look for modname. then search which application that modname is related to. it could be some add-on on ie. disable all add-ons and toolbars.
