How to adjust door viking dfsb423

Viking 42" built-in units usually don't offer any door adjustments. If one of the doors are not closing well, check for obstructions blocking the door bins, worn door gasket, and possible door warp-age on the panel ready models. Viking did have top hinge recalls updating to the new "Cobra" hinge on many of their models which can be verified by calling viking and providing your full model/serial numbers. If your Fridge door is lower than the freezer door you most likely have a worn door closer located on the lower hinge of the fridge door, the closer is a 2 piece plastic interlocking/mating unit which wears down over time from friction. This usually needs to be replaced. Pleazer Appliance...

One of the doors (on the Viking french door fridge) opens too wide (180 degrees). I want to tighten it so it only opens slightly more than 90 degrees. The other door is fine. Thanks.

Check with your Viking rep. I have the same problem and got word from Viking they are coming up with a new hinge doorstop at different angles. It will come in a form of a kit. The one I'm getting is about 100 degree opening. The problem I had was the door was hitting and adjacent electric oven from Viking. It just swung too wide.

Need to temporarily move our Whirlpool Gold refrigerator to replace kitchen floor. How do we remove fridge doors so we can get it through the doorway?

Usually, there are bolts/screws on the hinges. They may be covered with a plastic cap which will snap off. Start with the freezer door. While supporting the door, remove the screws from the hinge and lift to free the door. Now you should have access to the hinge supporting the refrigerator door. Same procedure for refrigerator door. Keep the screws in a safe place so you can reassemble the refrigerator when the kitchen floor is done.

Freezer door stop broke off

Take your remaining pieces to a Servall store. They carry parts for all appliances or do an internet search.

If you can not reach the parts easily, try to get a serial number and model off the Fridge and check the internet for a Viking dealer near you.

Kitchen aid refigerator: door won't seal then lost power.

The GFI had becme stuck - yes we had plugged the fridge into the GFI which is apparently a bad thing to do. Replaced the GFI (and moved in away from the fridge) and all is well.

Refrigerator won't fit thru door.

I ran into the same problem when I moved into my old house. the door way was to small, so I had to take both doors off the refrigerator to get it through the doorway. But I found out when I moved out of the house, that I was able to open both doors and wiggle it through the doorway. It was a hassle but it was alot easier that removing the doors. Good luck.

Refrigerator

It is fairly easy to remove the doors on a top mount fridge without any dispenser in the door. This should make almost any fridge less than 27" deep. When you remove the doors keep all spacers and washers seperate so you can replace exactly where you found them. When putting the doors remember the holes on some hinges are bigger than the screws so you can align the door before tightening the screws.
