Is a Sony 32 Inch LED TV (KDL-32EX650) main board compatible with KDL-40ex650 please?

Generally picture issues are from timing board and associated cables in and out

SELF DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION
The units in this manual contain a self-diagnostic function. If an error occurs, the STANDBY LED will automatically begin to fl ash. The number
of times the LED fl ashes translates to a probable source of the problem. A defi nition of the STANDBY LED fl ash indicators is listed in the
instruction manual for the user's knowledge and reference. If an error symptom cannot be reproduced, the remote commander can be used to
review the failure occurrence data stored in memory to reveal past problems and how often these problems occur.
DIAGNOSTIC TEST INDICATORS
When an error occurs, the STANDBY LED will fl ash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem. If there is more than
one error, the LED will identify the fi rst of the problem areas.
Result for all of the following diagnostic items are displayed on screen.
If the screen displays a "0", no error has occurred .

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. in this case you tv main board is defective because this is a temperate error please replace main board

What does it do if you unhook the flat cables going from the tcon to the panel, does the blinking go away and do you have sound then?
