I have a whirlpool electric dryer model DWSR-ELE-2406028 when the dryer is running it makes a very loud sound . It sounds like a train . Could the drum be loose? Is this repairable ?

Is that a repairable problem is it worth it to get a repairman or replace it?

Maytag dryer keeps shutting off. have to tap/jiggle timer knob to re-start. does this mean complete timer is bad and needs replacing?

If you have to wiggle the timer knob to make it run most likely you will have to replace the timer & they are expensive. Check all the wires going to the timer & make sure they are not loose & making a good connection. You may luck out I've seen that happen , timers are hard to repair some of them you can't .Hope this helps

My whirlpool dryer DWSR-ELE-2406026-FM54 is making a rumbling sound and a burning smell when turned on what could it be

might want to check your lint filter. After that check your exhaust tubing incase lint has escaped into the exhaust tubing. This stuff can catch on fire if it gets out free or stuck in your dryer tube.

Dryer will not start...checked belt and is good...dryer does have power source but no other visible problems seen...mod#: LEQ8000JQ2...ser#: MM3713012...type: DWSR-ELE-2406028-CV54....Thanks

If the lid switch is defective, the washer will not function or work at all. It is located inside the washer main housing near the door frame. When you close the door, the switch is activated by an actuator. You have to raise or open the top or front panel of the machine to reach the switch. Replace if found defective.
