The rescan is if you have cable or an antenna connection. It does not apply to a ROKU. Because broadcasters are adding subchannels regularly, urban over the air folkis should rescan every month or so.

Used the tv remote go into tv Menu goto SETUP go down Ch. enter pick CABLE and enter again.Tv now will go into auto scanning for CABLE channels.After the auto scan done for the CABLE channels are finish.After this u will able to go to channel 60 to used the dish remote.

Hi Patty Fisher, Got a make and model number on the TV ?
The ROKU should be ok its coming in to the tv most likely on a HDMI port.
The Auto scan is referring to the tv channels. In the TV menu (guessing as I don't have model or make ) look for channel setup and there should be an auto setup option you need to run.
