I found this on the PROSCAN website under customer support manuals.The website is www.oncorpus.com.I hope this information helps you with your problem. IMPORTANT THE LABEL SIDE OF THE DVD MUST FACE THE BACK SIDE OF THE TELEVISION 1. Press the ‘INPUT’ button to select ‘DVD’ mode, if no disc is inserted yet, the display shows ‘No Disc’.
2.Insert a DVD with the printed side facing towards the rear of the TV/DVD Player (see below)
3.The TV will first display ‘Loading’, then change to ‘DVD-video’. Most DVDs will show some preliminary
information then stop at a main menu screen.
4. Press PLAY/PAUSE to play it directly. Or press the DVD-MENU button to access the disc menu during
playback.
5.Use the direction button on the remote control to select the desired option. Press ENTER to select the
option or press the ► button. Playback will now commence.
6.After playback, press the EJECT button on remote control or EJECT button on TV/DVD to remove the
disc.
Note: No function‘’ will sometimes appear on the screen after a button is pressed. This indicates that the
function is not supported at the current time.

Fault with the control voltage at its amp section. May be a system control IC fault too. Contact any service tech: to make it confirm, and to get repaired.
This is not an easy repair work to do for a customer.

You can only receive clear qam signal. If your cable company scrambles all available channels then you need decoder to receive cable tv

This could be a lot of things.. You did not post the model number of the television but you may have interference from other devices in the home and it the remote is not infrared then you may have stray radio waves causing problems.

Proscan DVD Codes = 2118, 2144, 2205, 2319. Proscan VCR Codes = 3000. ON MOST REMOTES: 1. Turn on the TV. 2. Press and hold the TV and SEL buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The button will light. 3. With the button lit, point the remote at the TV and enter the TV's 3, 4, or 5 digit code.
