Compressor and fan working but no water

Take the bucket out and remove the two (black colored phillips head) screws at the bottom of the front panel, just above where the bucket was. Push the bottom of the panel to the side a bit to release the retaining tabs from the metal side panels and pull the bottom of the panel forward to remove the panel from the top tabs, leaving wires attached. Put the bucket back in place and observe the coils while compressor and fan run for several minutes (5 to 10 minutes will do). If coils do not get cold, or only get cold over a small area, you have a refrigerant leak. A refrigerant leak is not economical to repair. Most dehumidifiers have a 5 year sealed system warranty, so round up your receipt and call LG with the model and serial number (located on a sicker behind the bucket) to get an exchange unit. Going from memory here, but I think you can reach LG at 1-800-256-0000.

I need help calling someone that can repair an LG AC that has a bad compreser under warranty

Get prepared by going to outdoor section and record model plus serial
number. Get installer invoice or bill of sale from retailer to establish start-up date. If installer or retailer now not in business, go to LG
website and acquire local distrubtor/service contractor number.
Please note any licensed contractor can replace compressor no charge
if all warranty conditions met, but may have to charge for labour if not
covered under warranty.

I have a kenmore side by side and the electrical connection (box ) hooked to the compressor is burnt up. How do I tell if comp. is bad? Refride 5 yrs mold

I will help you test your compressor. I also will need the model number that Sears uses to identify their models. 213.256489 for example. Sea Breeze

The compressor starts, (or tries)for ~ 3 seconds, stops. retires ~ 15 seconds.

You either have a problem with your compressor start relay/overload assembly.......or you have a bad compressor. You would need the model/serial number for the correct part. If the unit is out of warranty, a 3 in 1 hard start kit (Supco URCO41) can be installed. Disconnect unit from power prior to attempting repair, and follow the instructions with the part.
If the product is under 5 years, the compressor may still be under manufactures warranty. In that case attempting a repair would void the warranty.

Kenmore refigerator keepsgoing into defrost mode

Hi, If you changed relay, overload, & capacitor on the compressor and it still clicks on and off, the compressor has gone bad and will need replaced. Is this unit under five years old?

Can't find compressor

The compressor is LG part number 2521C-A7256 which they have in stock. I believe this unit has a 7 year warranty on the parts of the sealed system (which includes the compressor) but this is most definitely not a do it yourself repair. Only someone certified to handle refrigerants, has the proper refrigerant recovery equipment, and charging equipment (and knows how to use them) should ever attempt to replace a compressor. Compressor failures are rare, and the unit should be diagnosed by a professional service technician, as most often your problem will not be the compressor, but some other issue. Please do not rate this solution as anything but a FixYa lowers my score.

My Kenmore side by side refrigerator is not freezing nor cooling.

surfgl,

The model you posted does not help me much but a rough estimate would be (from Sears) about $400.00 for the compressor + about $225.00 Serv Call and Labor. Possibly another $15.00 access valve and then tax.
The problem you have is that the compressor is locking up then it may run again for a short time. It will eventually lock up and not run again. If you can prove it is (by receipt) that it is less than 5 years old, Sears will repair it free under the sealed system warranty.
The model # and serial # should be on a sticker in the top front of the ref section. If not then on the left wall or right wall top front of ref section.

If this helped please rate me good. supertechks
