SOURCE: 6 beeps with regular intervals

As stated above, you can try removing the Memory and re-seating the Memory cards.

However, 6 Beeps indicates an issue with the Video Card. If your computer is configured with a Video Card, try removing and re-seating it by following the instructions provided in the Manual. You can access the Service Manual for Studio XPS 8100 from the link below:

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/studio8100/en/index.htm

If the issue is not resolved even with re-seating the Video card, you need to check with the Warranty of the computer with Dell and get if it is under warranty, get a replacement Graphic Card.

All the Best.

Memory upgrade on gx280 beeps on boot but doesn't start. memory beeps 1 234 5 6

When your computer emits beeps when you power on the computer, it's usually means that you have a memory issue. Try re-seating the memory modules and power on the computer. If you have more the one module, insert one at a time and power on the computer. The other issue is if that model supports 4 gig memory.

I have dell optiplex gx 150 beeps 6 times and a and b led is amber and c and d led is green

the 6 beep codes will be in a specific timing i.e. two beeps, a space 2 more beeps, and another space and 2 more beeps.

Looks like it may be a memory problem according to the lights.

ad54556.gif Possible memory failure

Reseat all DIMMs and restart the system to retest.

Here is the link to the beep codes and diagnostic lights for your dell optiplex gx 150 HERE

The Beep codes are in Table 2 and the diagnostic lights are in Table 3.

Doesn't load the anything beeps continually at about 1 second intervals

The beeping is the mainboard giving you a fault code!! Remove everything that you have plugged into the board except the cpu and its heatsink. Now, boot the machine, If it still beeps, check the cpu is seated correctly or return the board. If it now boots (it will still beep because no RAM is installed) then shut it down and refit each item one at a time, booting it after each item is fitted. When it stops booting again, the last item you refitted is the cause, replace it. If it boots when everything is refitted, you had a hinkey connection, Pay carefull attention to RAM sticks and expansion cards ( graphics cards, internal modems) etc. This is a common issue and removing and refitting the various components will usually cure it. TAKE NOTE that ALL computer components do not like static discharge. You may have already damaged the board or components and not know it. Make sure you discharge yourself by touching the metal chassis of the case BEFORE you touch anything else..

Remove your system memory. If you have 2 dimms re-seat one at a time with a boot inbetween. Clean the copper with alcohol.
