Most cassettes have 5 screws that hold them together. You simply unscrew them. If the cassette is sealed. Then you will have to cut with a sharp tool all along the centre of the cassette edge till it comes apart. Once you have joined the tape together, purchase a new blank cassette tape and unscrew the screws and discard the new tape and place the old tape into the new case.

My VCR won't eject the video once powered on and has this code RF-03

When you can open it, , try that. First unplug the VCR. Open the device and help the tape to come out. It won't be worth trying to go for a repair of it. Most people are giving away their vcr's or you can buy one second hand for 5 dollar. btw. The tape can be broken, or hooked in the machine. When the tape is removed and it is good, try winding it in the casset, when the content is important to you. To be able to wing the tape, put the cassette up side down end press a pencil in the hole in the middle of the cassette. Then you carefully can turn one of the spools to get the tape in. Try winding both sides, till you see the tape coming in.

Thaks for helping. My tape deck door has suddenly stopped working. the tape is inside and when i turn on the wpower there is a clicking sound. it is a TEAC AD-500 CD player/reverse cassete deck

Without physically looking at the cassette deck myself, I cannot be 100% sure the tape is wrapped around the pinch roller and capstan. The capstan is the chrome rod which the rubber pinch roller pushes to regulate the speed of the tape moving across the head. However it is approximately a 90% chance the take up reel for the tape stopped working from a bad tape or a loose belt which drives the tape take up reel. The clicking sounds like it could be the auto reverse solenoid because it thinks the tape has reached the end of play. The fun part is to remove the tape which you may have to disassemble the front panel if you cannot gain access to the tape from the top or bottom. You will need to cut the tape and remove it from the capstan and pinch roller to open the cassette door. Sometimes you can remove the capstan to free the tape. Once you have cleaned all the tape out of the unit make sure the belt for the take-up is good. If it is glazed, cracked, loose or broken order a belt. Clean all the pulleys and capstan and replace the belt. Your unit should be functional after the above procedure.

Hi, when I put a cassete in my tape deck TD-W315 the cassete runs very fast. It looks like a LP in 78 RPM? Does anybody can help me?

Check to see if the capstain roller is pressing against the capstain. Sometimes they get stuck or something has broke preventing it from pressing on the tape.

Aj-d200 video camera, cassette door stuck partially open. best diagnosis and/or remedy?

Partially open sounds like a mechanical problem with the cassette housing/door assembly. The door usually stays fully open or will not open at all, caused by component failure on the mechanical driver board. Check to make sure nothing is stuck in the mechanism, like a label or a broken piece from a cassette. If the door will move, but will not latch closed, the problem is most likely on th emechanical driver board.

A tape is stuck in my VCR. and i cant get it out, How can I remove it? notheng

Open bottom metal cover. Rotate the belts of the motor. Cassete should unload from Spindle and reel back into the cassette. Then please open the VCR top, and you will see a belt and gearmechanism on the right side of the cassette compartment. Manually rotate the gears and the tape will slowly come out.

TEAC CX-370 Cassete Deck

Could be a worn out belt? The cassette loads it the drive down too much. Hence why it turns with no tape.
