Vizio m80-d3 has video but flickers in all inputs. Replaced t con board but didn't fix it. Tried all manufacture settings and updates.

There is only an lcd driver board and a main power board left to replace. Which one controls the backlight? Vizio will not help with this. Was told it was one month out of warranty.

I picked up the tv that doesn't turn on. I replaced the power supply board and it did nothing. Should I replace the main board?

Don't replace anything, Vizio has issued a lifetime warranty for this set because of this problem. No joke, call the customer service line and tell them you got the pop of death. They'll send someone out to 'repair' the set free of charge. If they can't fix it they'll give you a new one. Even if your mfg purchase warranty has expired. Call them and post the results. I've been fixing TV's longer than I care to admit and this is the first time I've actually seen a company stand behind their products like this. I bought a broken tv with the intent of fixing it and after replacing almost every board I could only manage to get the vertical racing stripe line, except mine was purple. I put it all back together and called to find out if there was a recall on this set and within 5 minutes the (Actual English speaking) gentleman told me to sit tight and he'd have a repairman come and do his thing. He did, and long story short, he couldn't fix it. Last week they delivered a new TV to replace this one. I was shocked. I think Vizio will have all my future business.
Good luck.

you need to check first the power supply board whether the output supply 12-24vdc for the inverter board is stable and not flactuating..you can measure the output voltage with a multitester..you get a voltage output of 12-24 with the inverter board is connected or loaded to the system.be carefull of the high voltage at the inverter board..once the output is stable replace the inverter board or you can measure the output of the inverter be very carefull..the output range upto 500vac.be carefull..if the high voltage is stable replace the lamps...tnx and good luck..

Recheck all connections and try to get the TV on channel 3 or 4 especially if you have a cable or satellite box.

Hello there

Actually that problem is very common on all LCD TV,, that problem is cause of either inverter board or t-con..

In this case you don't need to check the voltage that is too complicated for you,,only visual check is enough..

I share you my tricks and hope it helps..

Power on your TV turn off your lights..if you will see the light comes from the screen the problem is t-con..if no light the problem is inverter board (backlight) board

Hope it helps..

SOURCE: My Sharp Aquos Lc32d62u 32-inch HDMI Inputs are not working

T-CON has absolutely nothing to do with HDMI inputs.

it's like changing the front wind shield of a car because it doesn't turn on.

You have a particular IC failed on the main board of your Aquos - maybe more than one - likely due to a power surge through the signal cable.

A replacement of the main should fix that, if not component level repair, but considering this is 32'' unless you have someone really handy around you to help I'd say you'll be better off replacing the whole main board.

Why is my LED tv intermittently flickering

The cables could either be loose or need to be replaced for your TV or the connection ports are broken. The LED lights or the T conn board could be causing the TV screen to flicker.

Vizio e43-f1 Screen Flickering

I assume when you say unhooking one of the ribbon connectors leaves half the screen white or black and the other has a picture, if you've replaced he tcon and it didn't fix it your going to find your panel is bad, a main board shouldn't cause your issue as long as unhooking one of the ribbon connectors gives half a picture

My screen is flickering on and off on Vizio LCD TV? I was wondering if it was the main board or the T-Con board.

Flickering can be either with the fault to its back-light inverter or with its main power supply regulator board.
