Bosch Dishwasher with very little water pressure or power

My Bosch dishwasher isn't working correctly. The water flows in very weakly during the cycle and doesn't have any power at all to spin the wash arms and clean the dishes. The water is heating and the machine moves through all the cycles...fills/drains etc... just no powerful washing action. any help would be appreciated.

It all stems back to your incomming water supply. Either the sieve is dirt or the valve is blocked with sedementation. Some valves are servicable and some are not,if your valve has screws then its revicable. (low water pressure restricts movement on arms.)

If all the wash action is correct, then its definately the water supply. If it comes into the unit slowly, the water is not sufficient to turn the rotors correctly. Having the correct amount of water in the system is like having the correct voltage running an appliance. Anything other than the correct value, machine wont operate corectly. Suggest

Sorry for two part answere , computer doing its own thing. Remove pipe off of dishwasher and you should see a small plastic or metal sieve, either in the valve inlet or in the water pipe. . Take it out and clean properly. Otherwise replace incomming water valve If it is not servicable.(You will see normally 4 screws which can be removed. carefully remove and clean dirty areas.then replace.

The water supply line to my Bosch dishwasher (model # shx46a06uc/21) froze. We didn't realize this and tried to run the dishwasher. Now the line is unfrozen, but the dishwasher still won&#

Check for water supply to the valve. Check for 120vac at the valve during fill cycle. If you have both, the water inlet valve is bad, part number 00425458.

When I start my dishwasher the check water light keeps comming on. Also the salt light so the machine does not go through its cycle. Can you please advise me the best course of...

Hi, if your unit is getting good water pressure then the problem is going to be your flow meter which is the device that measures how much water is coming into the unit. If it doesn't detect enough water coming into the unit, the dishwasher will hault and give you check water light error. When the error comes up look at the water in the bottom and see if you have enough water in the bottom for a cycle. If not then your flow meter is fine and your unit truely isn't getting enough water which means that either your house isn't giving good water pressure to the dishwasher, or the electronic water valve that connects to the water line from your house is bad and needs to be replaced....

Just got a new Bosch dishwasher (forget which model). After the dishwashing cycle has ended (even long after), the dishwasher and dishes are still wet. Was this an installation problem? Thanks

Hi -
I can't see how any installation problem would cause this - if the dishes are still wet at the end of the cycle, you'll probably find the water isn't heating during the wash cycle. The dishwasher uses steam to heat the washing compartment and dry the dishes. It would appear that the dishwasher isn't heating water internally.
Even if the washer was accidentally connected to the cold water supply ** (see note), this shouldn't happen as regardless of the water supply temperature, the washer should still heat the water to the correct temperature internally.
** UK dishwashers should be connected to the cold water supply. For US installations, dishwashers are commonly connected to the hot water supply. For other locations, please consult your installation instructions.
I suggest you start a regular wash cycle and leave it to run for 10-15 minutes. Then open the door and test the temperature of the water in the base of the washer by hand. The water should be hot and there should be steam present in the washer when you open the door.
If the water is cold or only warm, the water isn't being heated internally or isn't heating to the correct temperature, in which case you should contact the retailer or Bosch Service immediately for a replacement. Do not accept an offer of repair on a brand new washer!
Additionally, do not attempt to repair the dishwasher yourself when under warrantly as this will invalidate the warranty.
Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please let me know your location and the model number of the washer. This should be laser-etched into the top of the door if you can't find it on any of your paperwork.

Dishwasher switched itself off during cycle - no power now

It is possible that some of the pips have been washed down into the drain pump and jammed the impellor, follow the drain hose back to the pump underneath of the dishwasher make sure the d/washer is switched off at the power supply before you attempt this, if you have reasonable mechanical skill you should be able to remove front of pump to clean it.

Water Sitting In Dishwasher after Completion of Cycle

An obstruction in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off properly. You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! In case cleaning will not help, you should replace the valve. Good luck !
