Bosch 24 in. SHX46B05 Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
I need to know what
Hi,
Some SHX46 washers have 4 wash cycle buttons and others have 5. The button on the left side on top of the door is the start/stop button regardless of how many wash cycle buttons you have.
If you have 5 cycle buttons, reading from left to right they will be as follows.
1. Top Rack Only / Sanitize
2. Power Scrub Plus - (Long wash for heavy soil)
3. Regular Wash - (Economy wash for light to medium soil)
4. Delicate Wash - (Shorter wash at a lower temperature for delicate items)
5. Rinse & Hold.
These buttons are also used for cancelling a wash cycle. Hold down buttons 2 and 4 (Power Scrub Plus and Delicate) at the same time to cancel a wash cycle and drain the water out.
If your washer does have 4 buttons, it means you don't have a Top Rack / Sanitize cycle, in which case the button configuration - from left to right - will be:
1. Power Scrub Plus - (Long wash for heavy soil)
2. Regular Wash - (Economy wash for light to medium soil)
3. Delicate Wash - (Shorter wash at a lower temperature for delicate items)
4. Rinse & Hold.
With this button configuration, the cancel cycle buttons are 1 and 3.
I hope this solves your problem. If you need any additional information, please post back.

OUR BOSCH DISHWASHER MODEL SHX46B05UC/14
Hi
The issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced.Your float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with your dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability.Use your voltmeter to test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If your switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. If the switch is fine then it seems that the motor is bad as it usually makes a humm sound when its bad....you can also check the timer if the humm sound is coming from the control area, if the timer wont cycle it won't fill with water. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I NEED TO KNOW FROM A BOSCH TEC IF WHAT IS WRONG
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If the sound is coming from the bottom panel then it is the moto that has gone bad and needs replacement. However, if you hear the sound from the control then it can be due to a bad relay in the control and it is recommended to replace the control completely. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

The detergent dispenser sliding door seems to have
You really don't need it! Try this, load your dishwasher as usual, Fll one cubby with your detergent and put on the shortest cleaning cycle. Thats all I ever use and my dishes are clean. And I'm talking about a inexpensive dishwasher!
Bosch Dishwasher with very little water pressure or power
It all stems back to your incomming water supply. Either the sieve is dirt or the valve is blocked with sedementation. Some valves are servicable and some are not,if your valve has screws then its revicable. (low water pressure restricts movement on arms.)
Bosch SHU9915UC/11 dishwasher doesn't start wash cycle after replacing circulating pump?
If the dishwasher is not starting the wash cycle after replacing the circulating pump, it is possible that there is an issue with the control board. You may want to check the wiring connections between the control board and the new pump to make sure they are properly connected. If the connections are correct, you may need to test the control board and its various circuits to see if there is an issue with any of the components. It is also possible that there is a problem with a sensor or switch that is preventing the dishwasher from starting the wash cycle. You may need to consult the dishwasher's user manual or contact Bosch customer support for further assistance.
