I have a CDJ1000 MK2 which powers up but the main display nor the jog dial display power on and no sound. The buttons do work though. When I press the forward button I see the cd lens moving. Has anyone come across this problem? Any ideas?

One of my cdj 1000 mk2 powers up,takes cds but there is no display or sound every button works on it there is just no display..can u help??how to fix or where??costs??thanks

This is either a display failure - so you need a new display board, or the little fuse on the underside board has popped. Definately a service centre issue though, happy to help more if needed :)

My sony walkman suddenly stopped working while out on a run, On returning home I checked that it was fully charged & now it seems to do its own thing, if I can get it to work

Hi,

Try resetting the Walkman by pressing the RESET button located near the Jog Dial.
Press the reset button using a sharp pointed object like a ball pen. Be sure that the Walkman is playing when resetting.
Try connecting the Walkman Player to the Computer by using the stand to charge the battery and check if it works normally.
If the issue persists after resetting, try Formatting the Player back to factory defaults. Formatting the Player will erase all the files and all the settings will be back to factory default. Please be sure that a backup is there with you before formatting the player.
To Format the Player, unite the left and right parts to turn off the Player.
Separate the left and right parts.
Press and hold the jog dial for about 15 seconds until the status lamp blinks quickly.
Release the jog lamp when the OPR Lamp lights Red.
Rotate the jog dial within 30 seconds after the OPR lamp lights Red.
The status lamp turns off and the OPR Lamp lights alternately Green and Red each time you rotate the jog dial.
Press the jog dial while the OPR Lamp lights Green.
The OPR Lamp blinks Green quickly and Formatting is executed.
When the OPR Lamp turns off, formatting is complete.
If you press the jog dial while the OPR Lamp lights Red, or if 30 seconds have passed, formatting will be canceled.
This will resolve the issue.

Pioneer cdj 800 mk2 playing mp3s, jogwheel & screen dont work

More than likely the contact pad (aka Membrane pad) is probably damaged... or the flat cable which connects to the main processor, might be loose, or damaged.

You'll need to get this professionally checked out by a qualified technician. It's not an easy fix.

Had the sam problem... Turn te player upside down, take off the bottom cover and check the semiconductor fuses located near the supply connector on the top of mainboard. The one that is responsible for display is marked as VLOD (-40V). Worked for me :)
