Fixed capacitors but now my colours are jumbled

My Akai LCT42Z6TM had the same problem as described here. I have replaced the capacitors described in you solutions and fired up the set. The picture is now steady but my colors are all jumbled. Look like a computer screen if you have the resolution incorrectly set. Can anybody help me here please. I bought the set six months ago at Sam's Club in Toronto, but unfortunately they shut down their Canadian operations so I'm stuck holding the bag. Please help.

Thanks

HELP A GIRL OUT? AKAI Model: LCT42Z6TM

It started at 1080 after a year or so. I'd get blocks in all four corner made of many smaller colored blocks, then horizontal lines and the screen shuts off. I cranked it down to 720 and it worked a week same thing after I went to 420. Now it poops out all the time after a minute or two.
I have a photo of it now with the back off and all the areas of possible attack numbered if anyone can help gimme a short HOW-TO and which # area I should work I would apparaciate it a bunch!

I'm working on one now. So far, I've found two capacitors on the power supply board bad, both 1000uf/16V 105 degree caps location EC9 area. Still have mild interference on the screen which seems to change with the type of video being displayed.. Will look for C301 next, is it on the signal board?

I have this akai tv model lct42z6tm and connected to a vcr video output to the video input of the tv.it works for about 2 minutes and suddenly it shows grayish horizontal lines and the it scrambled all...

You may have bad capacitors on the main board where the signal is processed. These caps are as labeled: c280,c323,c302 and c320- replace this one first (it usually fixes the problem) Replace these caps with 100uf @35V

Tv no picture Akai

I don't remember exactly which ones I replaced.Look at the capacitors on the power board, and replace any that have the top,or bottom bulged out.The capacitors didn't cost much, maybe around $10 with shipping, depending on how many you need.Do you have your power board out?I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank You very much!

Akai LCT42Z6TN

I had the exact same problem already and my LCD is less than 8mo old. One of the techs from AKAI told me that its a known problem and many tv's were coming back "unserviceable". They now have a "supposed" fix for the problem. I only hope it really works and its not just a "carry-over" until the warranty ends. I am beginning to think its a quality issue and the units may just be defective. Thismay be thier way of doing a quick-fix vs. recalling all those tv's. This is what he gave me to as a solution to give the serviceman when he comes to fix the LCD.

AKAI model LCT42Z6TM: If there is no image or a badly distorted image with horizontal static lines, usually with four boxes in all four corners of the screen, there is a possible fix for this. There are four capacitors on the main board that have been identified as the primary cause of this symptom. Replace the capacitors at location numbers C280, C302, C320, C323 - 100UF 35 VOLTS [dxh]

This works like a charm. "Replace the capacitors at location numbers C280, C302, C320, C323 - 100UF 35 VOLTS." I purchased the capacitors, cost me $1.07. Changed them all, that was the hardest part, took hours just to locate them. Burnt myself a few times, but by midnight, it was like new. So if you don't mind, doing something that would cost you over $500 by a profesional, I can assure you that this solution works. Email me if I can help, [email protected].
