My Akai LCT42Z6TM had the same problem as described here. I have replaced the capacitors described in you solutions and fired up the set. The picture is now steady but my colors are all jumbled. Look like a computer screen if you have the resolution incorrectly set. Can anybody help me here please. I bought the set six months ago at Sam's Club in Toronto, but unfortunately they shut down their Canadian operations so I'm stuck holding the bag. Please help.
Thanks

HELP A GIRL OUT? AKAI Model: LCT42Z6TM
It started at 1080 after a year or so. I'd get blocks in all four corner made of many smaller colored blocks, then horizontal lines and the screen shuts off. I cranked it down to 720 and it worked a week same thing after I went to 420. Now it poops out all the time after a minute or two.
I have a photo of it now with the back off and all the areas of possible attack numbered if anyone can help gimme a short HOW-TO and which # area I should work I would apparaciate it a bunch!
